I wonder what happens if Farve retires and then changes his mind again after the draft?

    over there
Complicated will be when Farve loses a game and throws 3 int's then has to face the NY media for the 1st time.:wink2:
    He ain't in Swiss-consin anymore.

I love all the Favre haters, cause you keep it interesting, and I hate the Jets. If Brett is tossin' balls and throws a level of whoop-*** on us that I think he might, I hope you guys aren't too resentful. He's doesn't hold all the records 'cause he sucks. But, we'll see what happens.

Farve doesn't scare me much particularly in that first game. I would be more worried if CP was their starter. That doesn't mean that CP is better, but he has been better against us. Below are all the games he played any significant time against us.

    Sun Nov 10, 2002 W 17 27 167 0 0 6.2 63.0 80.3
    Sun Dec 28, 2003 L 22 28 221 1 0 7.9 78.6 111.5
    Sun Oct 3, 2004 W 14 24 143 0 1 6.0 58.3 58.2
    Mon Nov 1, 2004 W 11 19 189 3 0 9.9 57.9 131.4
    Sun Sep 18, 2005 W 19 30 190 2 0 6.3 63.3 103.5
    Sun Oct 15, 2006 W 17 29 175 2 0 6.0 58.6 99.1
    Mon Dec 25, 2006 W 14 29 237 1 0 8.2 48.3 87.9
    Sun Sep 23, 2007 W 15 22 124 2 0 5.6 68.2 112.7

As you can see, 6 out 7 times he beat us and his avg. rating was 112!

This is what Favre has done against us.

    Sun Sep 11, 1994 L 31 51 362 2 1 7.1 60.8 87.2
    Sun Sep 14, 1997 W 24 37 253 2 0 6.8 64.9 102.6
    Sun Oct 22, 2006 W 19 35 206 2 0 5.9 54.3 90.9

He beat us 2 out of 3 times and his avg. rating was 93.6. This is still very good but not as good as CP. Throw in the possible chemistry and new system issues that BF is likely to have and the fact that he hasn't worked out much this off-season and I'd rather play against BF week 1 than CP.

    Over Yonder
over or under on Favre throwing 25 ints this year? Im taking the under, because I think he retires midseason, and is never heard from again.

More and more it looks like a good deal for the Jets.

    Good job Tangini.

Yes. It is a good deal if we win, get into the playoffs a few years and don't win the Super Bowl.

It is a good deal if we do BETTER than we would have with Chad.

It is a good deal if there is excitement and hope around the New York Jets again.

All of that make it a good deal.

If you said that every trade had to come down to "Did we win the Super Bowl" that would mean that 99.99999% of all trades would be disasters.
