He obviously still has to go through the process of reinstatement, but hey....I'm encouraged.

Glad to see he is actually working out in the gym. If he can make it in the rotation it would be a huge bonus because, sadly, after all the suspensions I am not expecting much.

At this point it can only help. Hopefully he matured and is taking his career seriously and shows up in shape.

That is what I did. I don't expect anyone to do anything. If I were curious about the picture I would go the site and look.

Here, maybe this will help you

Sooo, I think we've gone ahead and established that this picture is the new standard for "looking higher than the clouds":

Yeah, agent says "Comeback Player of the Year"! He needs to actually have a career 1st before he can have a comeback? I mean really? 3 sacks over two seasons? Not feeling it.

Side note, I have never seen this guy as a DE. I think he would be more successful as an OLB (ideally in a 3-4), but hey - what do I know.

That isn't exactly needed. Tommy Maddox won the award without ever having a good career.

He could win, however he would need to have a better season than Kiko Alanso and Byron Maxwell to win the award on the Miami Dolphins.

Just for a pure day dreaming pie in the sky thinking, imagine a season where Kiko, Byron and Dion are all up for the comeback player of the year.

Sources close to the team are pretty consistent in their pessimism about Dion Jordan so that's a reason to beware stuff that seems positive.

However, that doesn't mean they're right. What is happening now is between Dion Jordan and the NFL league office, and the team is completely cut out of it. I'm sure the team would like to think they know what is going on, but after the Josh Gordon fiasco it would surprise me none if the league office kept the team completely in the dark until the day they reinstate Jordan.

The Gordon fiasco involved the NFL leaking to the Browns the status of Gordon's application and reason it was delayed beyond 60 days, and the team in turn leaked that information out to everyone, to the point where even the NFL.com main page featured a story with those confidential details, and now the NFLPA and Gordon are considering legal action against the NFL for leaking out what is very clearly and explicitly defined (per the CBA) as confidential information.

So do I think the NFL is giving the team regular updates on the status of Dion's application, even though that would be against the CBA? No, I don't.

You put a link to the Miami Dolphins Herald pages. There are no pictures of him looking high.

Edit: Also if the picture on the front is what you are talking about, not only does he not look high, it was from his rookie season.

I don't get the Jordan hate.

He has an addiction problem, which tends to happen to a kid who grew up poor with a drug addict mother whose also been set on fire and had over 75% of his body burned.

I hear people saying they'd take Vick or AP or Big Rape over the years but Jordan? No **** that guy.

Really exciting news here, like really...if he's at 250 lbs I may explode.

Let's imagine the three ducks come out and ball for the Miami Dolphins..Kiko, IFo, and Dion..just like old times baby..

So much talent in those three, Dion is just soon gifted...

Kid had a very rough upbringing man, crack head for a mom, almost burnt to death, scars covering most of his body..a stupid staff who stupidly had this stallion gain weight...fu$$in morons..literally morons.

I agree that Jordan shouldn't be seen as a bad person because of a drug issue. Unfortunately there are far too many individuals who have addiction to drugs and alcohol and it is a serious illness. So hopefully he can overcome his drug issues and become a productive member of society.

My main problem with Jordan since he has been a Dolphin is that when he was in the lineup, he just wasn't very good. He made a couple of plays and otherwise he was a non factor when he was on the field.

Perhaps this was because he was playing out of position or because of the added weight required to play DE under the old coaching staff. Yet it could be that, he just isn't good enough to be an NFL player. I guess we will find out, if he is granted permission to play in 2016.

I never agreed with this. Well during his rookie year before he put on the weight. I thought he was a pretty decent factor and had a few big plays that showed what he could do if used right.

I have no problem with you disagreeing with me. You have your opinion of Jordan as an NFL player and I have mine. That is why there are forums like this to begin with. If we all agreed on everything regarding the Dolphins, I doubt there would be a need for a Dolphin Forum.

I hope Jordan can come back and have a good career in the NFL. I just question his dedication to the sport and whether he wants it enough to do what is necessary to be a productive player in the league.

What is his addiction? Weed? I don't know if I'd call that an addiction. I don't hate Jordan. I don't mind giving him a 2nd chance. All that athleticism is hard to throw away, assuming he gets his head on straight and wants to play football and be a true professional. I do understand the frustration fans have with him. We invested a lot into him and haven't gotten a return. If he's not producing, for whatever reason, fans aren't and shouldn't be receptive to him. NFL is a business.

Lets not forget that at least one of his suspensions was obviously steroids, or the equivalent, because you cant put 25lbs of muscle on in one offseason without a "helping hand", and even after he came back all pumped up, he was still not strong enough.

Tall skinny front 7 players have to be able to play with tremendous leverage, he has not played with even good leverage, in the pros, or in college, whether he plays at LB or DE, does it matter if he's being pushed around by TE's?

That is one of the side effects of smoking pot. The munchies will pack those extra pounds on in no time. Lol.

Seriously though, I just wonder if he has the heart and desire needed to be a quality player in the NFL. Hopefully with a new coaching staff and a fresh, start he will be able to become half the player they hoped they drafted in 2013.

It just won't surprise me if he never plays another down for the Dolphins in a regular season game. I give him a better chance of playing for the 49ers in 2016 than with the Dolphins once the regular season begins.
