"Guys were nervous out there," Porter said. "They got to running around a little faster. The coaches got to coaching a little louder. You definitely knew he was out there. ... "He's known for building programs to win, and we're just all waiting to see. This year is over. We've got one game to finish out, and then we'll wait for him to do his magic." That Line I would guess..
I think he has already worked miracle -- they worked harder. Its obvious with that statement that Cam was not inspiring them as he ought too.
But it's also what you get when the guy signing the checks is someone who knows football. Cam isn't the guy signing the checks. Parcells is. And obviously Parcells isn't "really" signing the players' checks, but with the power Huizenga's given him he might as well be, and the players know that.
C'mon man, its the final game of a disaster season . . . and the new HEAD hauncho came in to watch . . . of course u are gonna start working harder . . . that is human nature . . . IMO has nothing to do with Cam "not inspiring" like u put it. The coach could have been literally anybody . . . and its just a reaction when a new boss is in town . . . there is no "miracle" involved in this.
One way or the other the players know that from now on they'll play good or they'll be gone...things will be different now. Ozzy rules!!
The thing is... No disrispect to Cam, BUT. Nobody really knew about him as a coach, before this season, while EVERYBODY knows who PArcells is. And weather you like him or not, you will respect him. And thats what hapepned during practice.
I mean yea they KNEW who Parcells was . . . . but if I know the PRESIDENT of my company is visiting my location today . . . I am going act busy, and work harder . . . because that is just a simple reaction. I mean I really think u guys are putting way too much into them practicing harder because of Parcells . . . they practiced harder because they KNEW the "new" boss was watching (whether it is Parcells, or whoever it could have been . . . hell if Wayne came out to practice . . . I guarantee the play harder . . . its human nature)
Then if that's the case, I hope the boss shows up in every practice and training camp, as our players have been in very poor conditions all season.
