Dolphins don't win that meaningless game against the Pats week 17, get the 5th pick, and take Ramsey in the 1st and Myles Jack in the 2nd and the entire board rejoices. or, after the video of Tunsil surfaces, they predict his slide out of the top 10, trade down from #5 into the 10-12 range and draft Tunsil and Jack while aquiring extra picks. Ahhh what could've been...
I'm pretty happy about the draft so far. And I'm extremely happy that the Dolphins most likely kept the Pats out of the Super Bowl.
Its as if you believe the Dolphins purposely chose to not lose that game so they could get a worse draft spot. Wait, what am I saying......of course that's what you believe.
I don't have any issue with the Tunsil pick, I didn't like the trade down from 8 to 13 but it did work out for us so I'm happy about that. I don't like the trades day 2, I didn't think the players were worth losing depth or future picks over. Hopefully our offense improves with the injection of talent we got and the upgrade in the coaching staff. It does look like we invested heavily in Tannehill with this draft, we are giving him every opportunity to succeed which is a good thing to me. Our defense might be really shaky though....
I don't honestly know what to think when someone just doesn't understand fundamentally that no professional athlete or coaching staff is going to throw a game for a better draft pick. You can't honestly be hung up on this right? This is tongue in cheek right?
We lose that game, NE gets another SB. No thanks. I'd want the same outcome 100 out of 100 times no matter who the draft pick was.
if only the dolphins would have sucked for luck............. you can hate the draft and play your what if games all you want. This draft is actually pretty good. It's the first draft in a long time that actually has a clear purpose. We are getting weapons for offense. If tannehill can't succeed with this, then we know what to do with him. We also got a CB that fits our scheme and can start day 1. I'm sorry the draft isn't what YOU would have done. But there is also a reason YOU aren't a GM in the NFL right now.
I've said it so often, but regardless of the moves, or players acquired, or stats put up, some posters on here are never happy, and will just complain.
Beating the Patriots thus preventing them from getting home team advantage throughout the playoffs and cheating their way to the SB . Yes .It was worth it.
In my alternate universe we contend for the SB every year, I mean if you're going to have an alternate universe, why fiddle with the little things.
Pats butthurt is strong in this thread. Too bad Phinfans care about only hurting the Pats, Jets, Bills instead improving the Phins. Sad but since we've because used too expectations of 6-10 to 9-7 and no playoffs, This mindset is commonplace.
It's not tongue in cheek. This is the same dude that was pissed a murder suspect wasn't picked in the latter rounds last year.
There's also a reason Hickey, Ireland, and Randy Mueller aren't GMs anymore. And a reason why no one else wanted Tannenbaum except Ross after he drove the Jets into the ground. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Someone says that every year and yet our track record in the draft is still pretty bad. "Ireland is a GM, you're not!" "Hickey is a GM and you're not!" We've got members of this forum with pretty strong track records of predicting which players will be good and which players will bust. While nobody is batting .1000, you would think that it would demonstrate that you don't need to be a GM to have intelligent insight about prospects... And yet, we still get posts like this, where members try to pretend that the Miami brass knows best and any disagreements from members is stupid. For the record, I'm not defending the OP. He's... well, we all know what he is. But your post on the subject is just as ridiculous. I'm glad you liked the draft, but not everyone has to feel that way and it's perfectly justifiable if they don't.
That's what these homers don't get. The Dolphins haven't EARNED the benefit of the doubt in YEARS! Not a single person in our FO has a track record of success. Our coaches are at best wet behind the ears. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
We get the best player in the draft...and you are still mad about our draft position...? Holy moly Iv seen it all now lolol.
