"A U.S. appeals court on Monday restored the four-game "Deflategate" suspension of New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady over allegations footballs were under inflated before an NFL playoff game last year.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York reversed a federal judge's ruling from September. The appeals court ruled that in imposing the suspension, National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell properly exercised his discretion under a collective bargaining agreement."

So that gives the second Dolphins game a different outlook.

Said it a few months ago on the afc eastforum this was going to happen. Goodell doesnt like to lose and he let the season play out without distraction, but he was preparing to win and save his image somewhat, and he did it.

Next to go down, a cheating scandal like Tiger Woods and his 50 mistresses, his wife divorces, New England moved to London, everything falls apart.

We have to assume Brady won't try to appeal it again as before.

Well it's not the career ending injury I've been cheering for, but it's something.

Suspension getting hold off for a year actually helps us even more. Sunday Night football week 1 also got a little more interesting

I hope preseason and the 1st game gives us enough footage of Garrapolo to get a handle. Hope their oline continues to struggle. Been since the wildcat we won one up in NE.

Mario, Suh and Wake are gonna be fun to watch these first few games.

Yup, this drama is playing out like Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam...Maybe Goodell will blow up his own office with gun powder granules leaking from a barrel of Belichek's lies.

I don't think that missing Tom Brady for four games will hurt the Patriots season significantly. This is the same team that had a double digit winning season with Matt Cassel under center, so I think they can manage to compete with Jimmy Garoppolo under center for four games.

The Cardinals will probably beat them without Brady, but the Patriots next three games are all at home and winnable if they get good game management from Garoppolo, production from their running game, and their defense keeps it tight. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Patriots come out of the first four weeks 2-2 or 3-1 based on how well they are coached and how well their roster is built.
