this should cheer you up Rilla..

    check this out..

eric davis, former corner of the niners, now tv analyst, and I quote, '' I'm not gonna say where I heard it from, but there was a comment that peyton manning got messed up when adam gase left'' ....he's not the kind of dude that would say that if he didn't trust the source.

That totally ties into the time I heard Manning come off the practice field in training camp and just shower Gase with compliments, calling him a ''genius''

I hope we get to hear Ryan Tannehill walking off the field after SB 52 calling Gase a genius.

Don't agree with some of those individual game predictions, but the final record sounds about right.

They have us sweeping the Jets, the team I hate most in the NFL. Thing is, no matter how weak the Jets seem to be, they seem to beat us more often than not.

It's the curse of not finding an adequate replacement for Dan Marino.. Ever since Dan Marino retired, Jets vs. Dolphins record is 20 to 12, and they've swept us 6 times (including last year)!! We've swept them twice, with one of those being in that Chad Pennington year.

So.. despite what the odds often say, I'm not predicting we sweep the Jets, but I'll be ecstatic if we do!

2008, the Pennington year, the Jests beat us in the home opener. Favre threw a last minute duck that was caught for a TD.

I usually count on a split with division rivals... only it is usually the opposite of which game I think we will win.

Thanks for the correction.. Pennington was technically with us in 2009, where we did sweep the Jets but he didn't finish the season. I got my years confused.

Yeah we beat them on like a Sunday or Monday night game with Chad Henne, and then later on was that insane game in New York where we were getting killed all day and Ted Ginn took two punt returns back to the house and we ended up beating them because of that. Crazy game! Bart Scott was talking mad crap after the game, just basically being a cry baby sore loser about the whole thing.

It was a cold dark late afternoon game in NYC. I remember it well. It was disgusting out side. Never heard a team talk more smack than the Jets after the game for the next few weeks.

    Disagree 4-12

wins against Rams, Browns, Titans and 49ers

JMO Gace gets off to a slow start (for the whole year) due to the huge movement of players at key positions and the entirely new staff/Inexperience of being a HC

Miami Fans will again be rumbling and questioning everything including the type of toilet paper in the head

    Gase.

Hopefully he gets off to a better start than fans have with his name.

Oh Defiantly hope so. I just am so disappointed in Tannenbaum. He has not moved this team forward one bit since he has been here and I hate it. It is not that I dislike GACE at all it is just what the odds say is going to happen. If he does extremely well he ends up 7-9 maybe 8-8. Ok great. We just went 3 years with similar records from Philbin. I am by no means saying GACE will be Philbin. It's disappointing because at this point if it becomes what happens - Gace is nothing more then a lateral move until he can show otherwise. With next years cap being as hostile toward the team as this years if not more, I see more turn over and maneuvering. Hard to let GACE have a consistent roster when your turning it over like they are. Now if the turned over players where an obvious up grade it would be different . All are lateral at best with most being a down - grade or kiss and a prayer of fielding better at key positions.

I guess the point I am trying to make is until Tannenbaum gets his head out of his arse I think he will negate anything GACE has going. And that sucks

Two one hundred yd back back TDs. And he had the other two TD game with Pennington in his return to NY. The TD pass between two jets was the prettiest pass Pennington ever threw.

For just those two games alone I love Ted Ginn and his whole family.

I saw it too, either you edited it out or DJ and I are both seeing into some sort of internet wormhole parallel dimension.

Something to the effect of, "let's hope this Gase has a more fortunate start than one of our posters"

    It puzzled me as well...

Just spell his damn name right.

People have been spelling it "Gace" since day one. It's GASE.

    Geez.

The potential for confusion extends to the pronunciation, as well. Imagine Hispanic men uttering in public. "I hate Gase or I ****ing love Gase!" Said with enough conviction, would make anyone confused as to whether or not the man meant "gays."

In that scenario, Gase's win loss record could affect the gay marriage vote in Florida...
