    About 20% of it was.

Heat shot 11 Free Throws, 9 of them from Whiteside, 1 of them was a tech, 2 were intentional. So 8 free throws granted for one team that had DOUBLE the paint attacks of Boston in the first half.

Heat missed 14 open jump shots (3 threes) in the 3rd quarter, through 8:00 of the 4th. They shoot league average on those open looks, they take a 15 point lead into the 4th quarter.

    it is what it is.......Now..irrelevant.

I guess I don't understand why the NBA would be trying to make the Heat lose? You know they want a Cavs vs Heat series.

Anyone here want to jump in on a bracket prediction game for the playoffs - just for fun, no cash involved?

We can go for either a full bracket up front and see how you do, or, go for a round-by-round option.

Let me know if you're interested.

62 Shots to get 60 Points, just doesn't Impress Me to much. Being Selfish like He was his Whole Career so He can get the Headline one Last Time. I'm counting his Free throw attempts before someone says it was 50 shots.

to dump them into the #6 seed and preserve the ecf shot at Heat-Cavs?

IDK..but if you asked me which ref assignments I would have feared the most for the last two games, I would have said exactly: "Brothers vs. Detroit, and Forte vs. Boston." it was as if it was a hidden camera joke being played on me.

As a gambler...I watch these ref assignments with a side-eye if you know what I mean.

BTW, Forte was a much bigger edge for Boston. Heat are on a mini-hot streak with Brothers actually. Won and covered TWO in a row with him as Head Ref!

BTW, not that these refs are crooked. ( I thought Brothers was during Big 3 era). It's just their style of officiating that suits one team over another. Brian Forte allows hand checking and bump blitzes on screens (both are illegal). Both benefit Boston GREATLY. Worth at least 10 points per game.

The Heat darling is Danny Crawford. I readily admit it. That guy has a Burnie blow up doll.

It was a work and even the Utah Jazz was in on it. lol Jazz fans deserve better than that.. I would have treated the game like the playoffs was on the line and send Kobe packing with another loss.. but that's just me..

Anyways, I guess we can't talk so bad about Kobe, Pat Riley might retire his number too.

He's not accusing the NBA of wanting the Heat to lose. He's accusing Brian Forte of wanting the Celtics to win (having overseen 11 such victories with 0 defeats). He's accusing Tony Brothers of wanting the Heat to lose.

My wife went at lunchtime to the arena to get me the Official White Hot 2016 Playoffs T-shirt, and she says the place was packed with a line to get in to buy the T-shirts and Playoff gear.

This team man....what a fan base. You watching Miami Dolphins ltd.?

Exactly...just like a NFL officiating crew that looks the other way on hand checking, clutch and grab DB play. Seattle and New England love it. Everybody else..not so much.

Boston's talent is well suited for Forte's reffing style. Just like Miami's is suited for Danny Crawford.

Only San Antonio, Golden State, OKC, and Cleveland ended up with a better Eff. Profile than the Miami Heat (in that order).

So in the true power rankings (what they actually DID)..Miami is 5th in the NBA.

I'll take it. This was a very good regular season..missing a few wins IMO (probably 2).

Heat scared of Charlotte at all? Or is this a cake-walk series for y'all?

Heat are the only team that really scares me in the East for the Cavs. Detroit will give them some trouble, but not an actual threat. Atlanta, Boston, and Toronto aren't teams that really scare me.

Nah, not scared, Heat are loaded....but it won't be a cake walk. This thing will be competitive.

Trying to get a price on Heat over 5.5 games.

I say, Heat in 6 competitive games. Heat will MURDER Toronto or Indiana in the next round. then Cavs in 6. Then Dubs in 5.

There ya go. you don't have to see the playoffs now.

You have a lot more faith in the Cavs stealing one from GS than I do.

I'm obviously a homer - but I think the Cavs have a shot vs SAS. Not a very good one, but at least a shot.

Except, if you factor in the free throws, then he shot 51.6%...which is pretty damned good. And you clearly didn't watch the game. His teammates refused passes at times and were telling him to shoot every time up the court. SO much so that some of the three pointers her chucked (and missed) were literally desperation threes to beat an expiring shot clock due to teammates making an unnecessary pass to him with about two seconds left to shoot. That, combined with some end of quarter shots, and his 3 point shooting was less than 30%. From inside the arc, he shot 55%.

    Again...pretty damn good.

But context can be tough for some people, I understand.

I always find it funny when people say Heat fans are now Cavs/Warrior fans... They clearly never set foot in Miami. A few weeks ago Dolphin Mall was ridiculously crowded with security and thousands outside the Heat store waiting for Hassan Whiteside.. The fans here are rabid, a fraction of 1% left the arena before Ray Allen saved our asses and people talk **** they dont know..

He shot a **** hair below the league average for EFG% at around 54.6%. He was magnificent in the last 2 minutes, and they got THE WIN..which is where the moment stopped being contrived and got it's juice.

Maybe we just don't know what else to do with ourselves at this point. I don't know - I'm pretty pessimistic about the Phins, particularly with the Heat being such a well-run franchise. I just can't see myself rooting for anyone else, for better or worse.

Bosh apparently gave an emotional speach to teammates. With a quote saying he wishes he could be out there with them. Doesnt sound like a guy that thinks he will return at any point in the postseason.

It's that time again. The time where one of the all-time greats, returns HOME to games that bring about pressure, with immense stakes, that build legacies. A time where he has excelled in a role that made him a legend, a leading man in highlight films that will live on forever, and as of late, as a most capable hand of the King, called upon time and again for greatness when needed most to preserve old legacies and build new ones. Fall down 7, Stand up 8. My belief is stronger than your doubt. When a rival seems to forget who you are, you make a note to self: "Make him respect your place in history." Ferocious as a competitor, and a mean disposition when confronted with adversity. Charged with responsibility, he will lead with grace, heart, and Joy. Never forget, that as you enjoy his exploits, and the heights he leads his team to, always remember how Pat Riley described his delivery to our team: "A Lightning Bolt from God."

    No more talk. Just Do.

    For the #FireSpo crowd:

    (Heat account tweeted this out:)

Coach Spo has recorded the most playoff wins in the @NBA since taking over the reigns as Miami’s head coach in 2008-09.

Coach Spo has a 41-11 career home playoff record. The .789 win % is the best among active head coaches & 6th all-time among NBA coaches.
