Whiteside came on strong in the 4th. Big rebounds and good defensive plays. I missed most of the game, but was able to see the 4th quarter. I'm glad to see the Heat came out of their cold streak when it mattered the most. What's up with our turnovers lately?
More like damn near a blow the front door down cover by the Kings, followed by an attempt at a backdoor cover by the Heat. Still shook from this west coast trip, and it ain't even done yet.
Looking at the East standings you can tell Miami's 1st round matchup won't be easy if it is against Charlotte or Boston. Both those teams are playing incredibly right now. If playoffs began today, we'd have Boston, who has beaten us twice I believe.
I'd rather play CHA between the two. We do not match up well at all with the Celtics, imo. That last game against them had some bad signs. I wouldn't like our chances against them in a series, especially if Crowder is healthy. We own Atlanta though...let's hope the seeds fall that way. Hope we can finish this road trip strong tonight, but I don't know. Portland's probably the biggest surprise of the League this year. I want to see lots of Richardson on Lillard tonight. Going to need Green to step up again, especially on defense against this backcourt.
One thing about last night I think sometimes it's easy to forget that we are without Bosh, and last night we were also without Wade. You're without your two hall of famers, of course you have a tough time on the road, even if they were without their biggest star too.
I cant take another late game with sloppy turnovers and laziness on the boards tonight. I hope they show up knowing this is a playoff team were facing.
There's moving screens and then there's Draymond 'The Moving Screen' Green. I supposed it's nice to see someone committed to his craft...
Seriously look at the starting lineup tonight without Wade and Bosh. What business do we have a expecting to see win on the road?
This is portland were talking about, not SAS GSW or OKC. Im more interested in if we can lose by less than 6.
Tomorrow night for the Heat. I thought they played Tuesday. Edit - just checked and the game is tomorrow. I agree, it's a big game. Need a confidence boost going into the playoffs, especially against a team likely to be make the playoffs out of the East. Still wondering if we will see Bosh return this year...
Looking really good tonight. Very pleased to see Joe playing and moving around like this. Looks like the rest was really good for him. The last week or two I thought teams were starting to expose his lack of athleticism; but hopefully that was just some sluggishness on the road or something. He's not a big plus defender, but he's got some bounce to him tonight. Very good to see. JRich staying HOT, bench crew doing serious work, Udonis even played some. This bench group has been huge with energy and chemistry they're finding. It's exciting bringing in those 3 guys get after it to give us a boost. Amar'e did a surprisingly nice job on Drummond, I thought, so we were able to stick to the normal rotation and have Whiteside with that group where he can just dominate. Detroit looks pretty awful tonight for whatever reason. Our halfcourt defense is certainly contributing. Finish the job here at home.
I was really happy to see the Twolves win that game. I used to really like the Warriors, and they are a lot of fun, but watching them get call after call is really ridiculous. I'm not sure I've ever seen officials go to video replay to overturn a blocking foul before. And to see them overturn it, when at the very least it was questionable, and really it looked like a block, was awful.
Jerry Sloan has Parkinson's. ****. Awful disease. Best coach not to win a title? - sent via Tapatalk -
Poor guy, just glad he didnt get it while young when he was coaching. Hope there is a cure for that in the future.
Sam Hinkie resigns from Sixers He'll be telling you to "trust the process" as he takes 20 minutes to perfectly scoop your ice cream at Baskin Robbins
https://www.instagram.com/p/BD3vm85NmiO/?taken-by=_heatupdates_&hl=en Pretty funny exchange between Richardson and Winslow.. Also Whiteside comments about Spoelstra in an interview: I hate when people think Lebron left Miami because of Spoelstra. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... pretty sure Lebron knows the best coach he's ever had in his career has been in Miami, Lebron left because of unfinished business and because his family is from there, not because of Spoelstra. Spoelstra is one of the best.
I could be wrong but wasn't colangelo pretty much taking away his power. He was bad, but it seemed like the organization wasn't letting him do his job.
IMO Lebron left primarily for control. I don't see that as aimed at Spoelstra as much as at Riley. He wanted his crew there and Riley wouldn't allow it. I'm sure they were in his ear about it every chance they got. I think the unfinished business and family stuff was secondary to the control issue.
In other news, Shams Charminia is the name of an actual earthican. That is not a name from a fantasy or sci-fi novel.
The Next diamond in the rough? Heat is rumored to be optioning Weber to the big club, in order to protect him for camp next year. Grizzlies tried poaching him on a 10 day, he played and played well, so now it is in the Heat's court to protect him. Heat D-League man....it's a machine.
Kept hearing about him a while ago, lot of people just wanted to bring him up. I'm guessing he'd be DNP Coaches Decision for pretty much the rest of the year. Aren't they about to sign Dorell Wright though?
I watched quite a bit of him at VCU. It would be an understatement to say that Weber is a lockdown defender. This guy is an absolute machine on defense and has constant hustle. He can run the floor well and I think has loads of potential. If the Heat can improve his shooting and Winslow's, we'd have a scary young defensive core of Weber, J Rich, Justise, and GOATside.
