I would like to ask all my Bros and Sisters here to help me boycott Anheuser-Busch since they are sellouts! It is terrible that this company has sold out to foreign investors. If you wish to protest all you have to do is drop your beer off at my house & I will dispose of it. We'll teach those bastards. PM me for details.
i heard about this the other day and already have a recepticle outside for those wishing to dispose in my area. on a serious note who was it that had ties to this? it's a woman of political interest(hillary or mccains wife)who owns the distribution rights or something. whoever it is got themselfs a nice early christmas.
I heard the boys got approx 40M each out of the sale. For 40M I'd sell damn near anything. Except my password here.
uhhh... you guys know that it is/was a publicly traded company right? anyone that has cash could have gone in and bought it. I owned shares myself. not like it was a private business that sold itself to foreign investors. what happened was they made a tender offer of MORE than the stock price to all the shareholders. the board of BUD approved it (not a single shareholder is going to complain for being paid a premium on the share price), and it was sold. this happens all the time, and it's not the fault of the acquired company.
haha, sorry. it's my line of work and a lot of people just don't know how things work. opfin is joking a lot of the time so it's hard to tell if he's serious or not. the post was more for information purposes for everyone, not directed toward just opfin.
roflmao. i'm a financial advisor & economist. i buy & sell securities & do analytical work for my firm.
Budweiser built America and you guys bash the golden magical sweetwater? Terrorists don't need to destroy us, we are dying from within.
I doubt they move their operation seeing as how the us I'm sure buys most of their beer and they are already established here. Anyone know different?
ok, i'll step in again. Budweiser and all the associated businesses will not go anywhere. the parent company bought them to receive interests and revenues. they aren't shutting BUD down, and BUD is not moving. the jobs aren't going anywhere. the only difference is just where the profits go. considering BUD wasn't owned by our government, its not like this is a bad thing. it isn't really good or bad, just is. if anything it might expose BUD to parent company's distribution network which vastly outpaces BUD's own network, including heavily increased exposure in Europe & Asia. SO.... if anything, this will increase BUD's global sales.
