Most hate on Heath Evans, but he's been pretty on point about most things Dolphins. Let's hope he's right about Adam Gase.
I know he liked him coming out, but he just said on Total Access that he thinks Tanne will be a Top 5 QB this year.
Ok, he's still a meathead, but maybe now, instead of just some plain old chuck, it's a finer cut of filet mignon.
That was pretty fu^^in cool..ive been his biggest critic.. watch the video at 51 secs with manning and gase....thats peyton fu^^in manning listening to him like he's darth vader. we'll see but what he did with cutler was tangible, I could really see the difference in his game..seems like he doesn't take any sh%% from anyone.. Suh needs to buy in and play like a madman.
There has been a lot of negative comments about Evans on this forum over the years. Many people think he is merely a Patriot supporter and a Dolphins hater because the Dolphins cut him years ago. In hindsight, he has been correct in regards to the Dolphins. They have been a mediocre to below average team in recent years and that is basically what Evans said they would be before each season. It is nice to see that he was impressed by Gase and hopefully his view of Tannehill will end of being correct. I have never been one of those fans who attacked Evans for his comments regarding the Dolphins. He is being paid to express his opinions on each team and so far in recent years, he has been pretty spot on in projecting how the Dolphins would end up each season.
The only nitpick I have is that Evans seems to loathe Suh, mainly for his after-the-whistle antics. I suppose that's fair. But I think Evans needs to realize that by the nature of the positions Suh and Watt play, Suh's not going to have the opportunities to match Watt's stats. Suh can play better than he did last year, but he was still damn good last year. Hopefully Vance Joseph will turn out to be a far superior strategist/coach than Coyle and Anarumo.
I find this really disconcerting. He's an idiot and it's always disturbing when an idiot approves of what your team is doing.
So, now, he's not that bad b/c he talks positively about the Dolphins HC? Spare me. I honestly don't care whether a commentator speaks positively or negatively about the Dolphins (though too many fans judge pundits on just that basis), as long as he does so with a degree of integrity and analysis - both of which are generally lacking in this guy. He's just a tiresome loudmouth, frankly.
The impression I got was that he just charmed the pants off Heath Evans (not ******ed). If Gase can win the players over, well that's half the battle. If he can scheme around the o-line as they get it together, well now you've got something. The defense is such an unknown that hopefully it won't derail our record.
like fin said, hes still anti dolphin, at least I believe he was, maybe this new guy changes his hate into more respect.
Heath Evans at it again Click to the 4:20 mark of the video to hear his opinions on Gase and Tannehill. But please make sure you are sitting down first. http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dol...ar-Opinions-Is-AP-declining-is-Luck-overrated
They are two different videos in which he talks highly about the dolphins, the world must be coming to an end.
