Getting ready to head out with wife to see this thing...

Previews? Looked terrible imo, didn't even consider that I would be ever seeing this in a theatre. Not sure I have heard one bad thing about it.

If you thought the previews made it look bad, you might want to reconsider going.

Best opening credits I have ever seen.

Also, I think it is the best love story in a comic book film.

Blown away (in a positive way) by how well Deadpool had done. I'd love to go see it, but probably won't get to until its out on Blueray. Its awesome how movies like this and Guardians of the Galaxy have blown away expectations and become hits. It almost assures that more of them, which are straight down the middle of my alley, will be made in the future.

The *** pat and him singing the song was pretty generic, a lot like fat guys dancing in movies just isn't funny to me anymore.

Good thing I went to see it though, was much funnier than I thought it would be.

I went it saw it last night with my daughter who's about to turn 13. a few awkward moments with her, but she's seen worse. Other than that, loved this movie. I may take my wife to go see it on date night this Saturday. My daughter's favorite was Negasonic Teenage Warhead. perfect complement to Deadpool and Colossus.

It looks good. My older daughter, who's four and a half, really wants to see it, but we'll probably end up waiting until its out on video.

We finally saw Inside Out, and that's a really good one as well. Actually more of a movie for parents than kids even, I'd say. My wife and I both got really emotional. I likely wouldn't have been so touched by it if I didn't have two small kids, but since I do it was very personal.

Right there with you on Inside/Out (emotion). Zootoopia is not an emotional movie, but it's a lot more fun than Inside/Out. The voices they cast for Zootopia were very good fits (to me that's critical for any animation movie and why so many of them suck). Jason Bateman was excellent for the fox. Idris Elba and JK Simmons were very good as well.

Simmons is great. I've been a fan since he was on Law & Order. I think that Bateman & Ginnifer Goodwin seem like good casting too.

Can't really talk about Batman v Superman much. But I'll say try to avoid reviews (especially with clickbait headlines) and keep an open mind. This isn't the Bale Batman or Reeves Superman. And it's not a Marvel movie. I think it's unfair to judge this like Man of Steel was, and hell, even how people are looking back on the Nolan trilogy. I think you'll enjoy it if you give it a chance.

If you need a review check out Batman on Film's review. He gives it a pretty fair take. Cinefix on YouTube seemed pretty fair as well.

Just saw Batman V Superman. I did not like it. The music/score was terrible. Probably the worst experience I have ever had in a movie when it comes to score. It was so bad.

The movie over all was all over the place. Just not well made. Kind of reminded me of the theater cut of the Twin Towers. Everything just felt all over the place. I did not understand Lex Luthor's motivation or point or anything about the character. There were probably scenes edited out that would have made the movie make sense. Spent too much time thinking, "why is that person doing that?"

However, I am kind of excited for Wonder Woman. I really liked her. I loved her facial expressions and how she battled at the end.

And Perry. He was a very fun in his role.

I liked it. It wasn't as good as Man of Steel or Batman trilogy, but still enjoyable overall.
Pluses: liked wonder woman/gal gadot a lot and they did a good job with Doomsday and sticking with the ending of the story was a very big plus for me. Also liked the setup for the Justice League with the cameos of the meta-humans.
Cons: I had very low expectations for Eisenberg as Luthor. While I thought he played an okay villain, I did not see him as an arch nemesis for Superman.
Neutral: Still not a fan of Affleck as Bruce Wayne. He did better than I thought, but not great. At least there were some dark elements in the movie to accompany Batman
I will say seeing it in a state of the art IMAX theatre probably bumped it up an additional notch for me. Also grew up as a DC comics fanatic and been waiting my whole life for a justice league movie, so I'm biased.

Finally got to see Jurassic World. Really enjoyed the first third of it, and was feeling that it harkened back to the original much better than the second or third movies did. But then, rather than making it an action movie with some humor and horror elements as I was expecting, they basically made it into a straight horror film where the majority of the characters were simply victims, and didn't do anything to make me like them or root for them very much. I'm glad that I watched it, but I'm also not sad that I missed it in the cinema.

On the plus side, Chris Pratt and Jake Johnson are two of my favorite of today's actors, and they were great.

I agree with this. My wife and I saw it and only liked the Wonder Woman parts. The movie was a waste of time. I liked DC over Marvel as a kid growing up, but this movie was terrible. Lex was the worst part of the movie to me. Not even a tad bit believable in that role. Luthor was too big a part for Eisenberg.

Finally got around to watching Batman V Superman...

I mostly agree with Ohio... and also you have to bear in mind that this movie was a set up for Justice League.

Apart from Lois Lane's character and Lex Luthor's casting of Jesse Eisenberg, with that damned "Squelchy" voice, I liked this movie. Surprising, even to myself. More so in that I really dug Ben Affleck as an older, more jaded Bruce Wayne and enjoyed that Ben packed on a ton of muscle to play the character and he did so convincingly IMO. This was a more manly Bruce and a more robust Batman. The muscles in the suit looked more realistic. He looked built like a linebacker even before he put on his giant Superman-buster (Hulk buster) armor.

Side note: Ben Affleck has now played Daredevil, Superman, and Batman. Probably the only actor who will ever play 3 different comic heroes, let alone for both Marvel and DC characters in film.

    Now for the real spoilers...

Pretty sure the "V" in B V S stands for "violates"... Superman sucked. He's so damned naive, self-righteous, virtuous, and involved in every aspect of Lois. He's become a silly caricature from a by gone age, and he's even more silly as a romantic lead. Who writes this swill that is his character? He's still carrying on like it's the 50's or something.

The subtitle was "Dawn of Justice" and the intros to Wonder Woman and the others who will make up the Justice League was pretty much cliché, cheesy, and borrowed. But whatever - the entire movie was a set up for future movies.

    Stuff I didn't like:
    - Movie plot was discombobulated... like a drunk ditzy chick trying to explain something complicated.
    - Lois Lane. Just kill this character. She's fkn annoying and brings nothing useful to the story or the movies. Wish they'd kill her off and make Superman more punisher/batman~esque. They should've done her like Pepper Potts in the last Ironman movie - there, but not featured. She's been a PITA in every damned Superman movie since the 70s. No one will ever take either of them as serious as the director of these films wants. Stop featuring her in these damned movies. She's a prop, leave her in the background and use her as little as possible.
    - Jesse Eisenberg. Terrible fkn casting. He was weird and creepy, and annoying as fk to have to listen to. I ended up just toning him out and waiting impatiently for the next scenes whenever he was speaking.
    - Lex Luthor's character was a FAIL regardless of casting. So he's a supervillian/ evil mastermind who is pitting Batman against Superman... the problem is that from the script Batman was already gonna fight Superman, and also Luthor was already working with the Government to get Zod's body to make a monster to fight Supes... but why??? There was never a clear reason as to what Lex's motivation was. Jealousy? It was implied that he was a super genius, but it wasn't conveyed. He made a weird, rambling, incoherent speech that everyone rolled their eyes at while Bruce wandered on down to his un-secured home datacenter in his kitchen basement and helped himself to tapping into his supercomputer systems... so stupid... This Lex character sucked a bag. What exactly was this character? Lex Luthor, genius supervillian my azz. He was a spoiled ADHD brat who acted like he was on speed most of the time and not convincing at all in his role. They turned Lex Luthor into an annoying little azzhole who inherited a company from his abusive Daddy. I kept thinking "Affluenza"...
    - Why was Lex doing all the science/genetic work at times himself? He's a Billionaire. He would have someone on hand to hand to wipe his *** for him. But, he's just going to go wading into the murky fluid of the Kryptonian Ship and create Doomsday himself from Zod's dead body and his own blood. Fk you Zack Snyder.
    - The Bat Branding of bad guys. Dafuq is the point? Everyone already knows when Batman has kicked your *** and left you for the cops. Makes more sense that the baddies would respect someone branded by Batman than it being a "Death sentence". Dumb.
    - The entire dialogue in the movie. Take these miserable writers out back and shoot them.
    - Dream sequences... from BOTH heroes? Really? GFY, Zach Snyder.
    - Lack of Bat-telligence. The "Worlds Greatest Detective" never outsmarts anyone in this film. He's supposed to be a great detective who’s 3 steps ahead of everybody else. He couldn't even deduce that Superman was Clark Kent and was totally pwnd a spastic douchebag. His character was more mindless "Punisher" than brainy Batman.
    - Jeremy Irons as Alfred. He's British. So what? Didn't like the casting, nor the way Snyder protrayed Alfred... nor his wrapping up wrenches and *****ing about ruining the toys... nor when he wasn't whining about Bruce not breeding any Wayne heirs...
    - Batman wimping out for obviously (forced) comic relief when kicking Supes *** after gassing Supes with the Krytonite gas. Putting up his hand, backing away, and saying "Oh, Sh1t"... really? Again, fk you, Snyder.
    - Some of the fight scene choreography was off at times between Batman and the mercenaries. There were several moments when the baddies were waiting for him to grab them and throw them around. It just wasn't as fluid as it needed to be, but I get that it's hard to do that stuff in a big thick suit with a cape also getting in the way.
    - Clark having a break down and somehow visiting with his other dead Dad, who was stacking rocks on a frozen mountain top... Dafuq?
    - Chris Pine in the picture with Diana Prince and other "metas". Not sure I like Chris Pine in anything.

    Stuff I liked:
    - Ben as Bruce Wayne and as a more Punisher~esque Batman. I liked him better than even Christian Bale's Bruce/Batty. He was more believable as both characters to me.
    - Pulling the knife out of his chest/shoulder and nailing the Asian guy to the wall with it. That was badass.
    - Subtle things - swiping the Bat mask off. Using a voice synthesizer to hide his voice.
    - Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Not your Daddy's WW. She looked a lot like Famke Janssen as Jean Grey IMO.
    - The dual funerals.

Still, I the main things I enjoyed was the darker, more menacing Batman and seeing Superman get his stupid *** outsmarted by apparently every person in the film, then kicked by Bats. I'd watch it again... on BR where I can ffwd or mute anything with Eisenberg and Lois.

    YMMV.

You really wonder if they had cast Luthor with anyone not named Eisenberg if it would have tipped the scales back to favorable reviews. that's just such the big fat elephant poop stinking up the room.

Agree. That singular casting alone sunk this movie. Lex should have been more Shere Khan and less Kaa.

IMO, Ben Foster or Anton Yelchin would have been much more convincing in the role, in that particular way that Snyder wanted Lex portrayed than the annoying little sh1t, Jesse Eisenberg.
