He's a smart well liked and respected guy, that's good, I hope he can turn this mess around but anything he did in Denver has to be taken with a grain of salt, he was very much like our current OC, he was put in because they knew that even though he won't actually be the OC, he won't have a problem with that. Not saying Gase can't be good, not at all saying or inferring that, just saying that Manning was the OC while he was there, just like Gase is going to be our OC here.
So I have a question. Your 12-4 with the second ranked offense in the NFL in the 2014 Denver Broncos, and bolt to Coach Jay Cutler? Lost divisional round of Playoffs to Indy 13-24 Next year 2015 WITHOUT GACE - 12-4 In superbowl.............?
I'm not sure how you got that from my comment, but I certainly didn't mean to insinuate that, what I am saying is that any OC that you bring in for Manning is more of an assistant OC, so you hire someone who is a 1st time OC that won't have a problem being Manning's assistant, they run the offense Manning brought with him from Indy, and obviously Manning calls the plays, he changes the play 5 or 6 times practically every down, lol.
Who's pretending. I asked a question. I'll ask it again. Why if you have the 2nd rank offense do you bolt to coach Jay feelmyballs Cutler?
Well it's a fair question. I was not insinuating that you suggested it. It seems Gace was going from team to team, learning. He even hinted to it in the first press conference when he talked about it being a long road, and many cities, etc. Omaha
Yes Sir. But, you would have to be a moron to get rid of a guy who possibly is responsible for the second ranked offense in the NFL. I didn't know he followed Fox. Damn kind of wish we would have got Fox - could have had Gace to
Well, i think they figured the offense was more Manning than anyone else. Which is probably true. I do however, think Gase contributed more than some may be thinking. In the end, he followed the coach he'd been working with which is fairly common. I'm still in the tank for Mike Shula though.
OK, I see what you meant, and I'm sure he did pick up stuff from Manning, by all accounts, the one thing that Gase is, is sharp on the ball. lol @ Omaha
What new head coach is going to keep a guy who isn't one of 'his' guys whose already going on head coaching interviews. Wasn't going to happen. Only reason Fox took him on was because of their existing relationship.
Dude I would take Shula in a second. I broke down some of Carolina's plays. Guys a offensive Guru - No doubt. And a big reason why they are so good.
What head coach wouldn't try to keep a guy who is possibly responsible for having the second ranked offense. **** you make him one of your guys. Without Gace they are 19th. Why ruin the chemistry with a new OC. Not saying Kubiak didn't build one hell of a defense - but imagine the 2nd ranked offense and 1rst ranked D together against Carolina. If that was the case - Damn could well of been the best super - bowl in history
Kubiak is an offensive coordinator by trade. Those guys tend to bring in their own guys for offense, like defensive guys like to bring in their own guys.
Oswellier said as much in the article: “The football mind that he had when he was here, a lot of people think it’s Peyton, but the football mind that he had when he was here was just tremendous,” Anderson said. “I mean, I learned so much my rookie year from him and the fact that I’ve still got the relationship where I can talk to him even, it’s amazing.”
Yea he has. Would like to see him go out a winner. Not so sure it will happen though. Not the way Carolina plays Saw a article about Irsay asking Payton to retire a Colt.
I'm sure he will, that is where he made his name and spent the bulk of his career, and I don't think there are any hard feeling between them.
I really hope Denver wins and P. Manning retires right after. I think I root for Manning so much because I feel for him like I did Marino. Manning has at least a SB win under his belt, but if he had been lucky enough to play on the Pats, for example, I bet he has 6 rings on his hands.
I hope we commit to this guy. Dynasties aren't built overnight, and he's going to make some mistakes, but he obviously has a very high aptitude to consistently get this kind of praise. I don't want us bailing on him within 3 years of stuff gets dicey, because I bet it will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
