They must be really desperate for a CB to fill out that pro bowl roster. Maybe another pro bowl nod for Grimes makes him easier to move in the offseason. Wishful thinking maybe because of his age, and the fact that the pro bowl is a joke, but the sooner he goes, and that big mouthed idiot wife of his, the better. He's on the decline. As for Reshad... he should have been on the roster to begin with. Him and Landry are our only guys going, that deserve it.
Jones clearly deserved to be on the roster from the get go. Grimes is definately going on his reputation more than his play in 2015.
I actually intend to this year. I want to see Reshad and Jarvis. Also, it's football, and in a month we'll be dying to watch something, even the Pro Bowl. Gotta soak it all up now.
Grimes? Why? He was absolutely horrid this year. I think he had more slip and fall lawsuits against the grounds crew than pass break ups.
I actually don't think Grimes was awful, but he definitely fell off in a big way from what we were used to. I think his wife makes it worse too, for obvious reasons.
I think if you take away all the times I saw him slip and fall he was slightly above average. Its just something about seeing your top corner on his knees after he plants at least once a game that makes it seem worse than it was. Also I'd say he was horrible compared to the previous season, but he set a very high bar.
Everybody has an off game but Grimes has several games where didn't even look like he was a NFL starting CB. To me, that doesn't warrant being invited to a Pro Bowl under any circumstances.
With this new PB format the invites are going up, first off, you have to eliminate all the players from the SB teams, that's 14 players this year. Imo, they should go back to the PB being after the SB, I had more interest then, because it was the LAST TIME you get to watch some semblance of NFL football, it was like a send off for the year, and they should also go back to AFC vs NFC, so there is some little bit of juice to it, there was some little bit of bragging rights.
Landry made a great catch in the game. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-miss-plays/0ap3000000630714/Can-t-Miss-Play-Landry-s-toe-tap-TD
I can't wait till we have a highlight reel (a long one) of far more amazing catches by DeVante Parker in the not too distant future (maybe by the end of this upcoming season??)
Lol lets see him stay healthy a whole season first, his #1 problem in college was durability and health and that so far is the case in his so far short NFL career. All in all, this years WR draft class was vastly overhyped and overrated while the 2014 NFL WR draft class continued to show dominance (ODB, A Rob, M Bryant, Juice, J Matthews, etc. )
I think the passing game and running game (with Lamar) will thrive this year if the OL can at least be patched up some. With that, and some way or another shore up the D... the potential for a pretty good season is what I see. Landry, Parker, Cameron, Miller, etc can be devastating IMO. Suh and Jones need alot of help to get there tho.
Did anyone but me see Ingonito give Jones a hug towards the end of the game.... Incognito and V. Davis would be looking good in a Dolphins uniform.
Nah... an older G with a big dumb mouth and an older CB that doesn't like to tackle and barely covers.
Well, Incog only cost us a first rd pick ruined, probably a coach, and a wasted season that he was a huge part of stinking up.
Probably none... but we had promise yr before this one (and this one). Any chance we did have was ruined by the clubhouse mess and bullying. Our 1st rd pick gone (an OL to boot), a decent guard gone, a terrible coach gone but he was what we had. I would rather draft a 6th rd guard and take my chances.
