Probably like prison sentences now... he will serve 1/2 his time and be gone/fired.

 

Personally, I'd rather see someone who has SUCCESSFUL HC experience. Coughlin and Shannahan were the only ones that checked this box. Failing that, a strong coordinator who could bring in a staff with successful experience.

We'll see what Gase can bring as he meets none of those personal preferences of mine. There could have been hires I would have been more disappointed with, such as Mike Smith or Buffalo's RB coach (???? WTF?).

 

More specifically a proven leader of a group of men because this team has had a leadership void for a very long time.
