For me- Focusing on the OL for now even tho not sure how likely they will leave their current team: G - Silatolu (Panthers) G - Boone (49ers) G - Brooks (Texans) G - Allen (Chiefs) LT - Okung (Seahawks) LT - Glenn (Ravens) RT - Smith (Bengals) RT - Bell (Titans) RT - Massie (Cardinals) C - Wisniewski (Jags) *only if considering moving Pouncy or if he plays G too. Maybe you guys know more about how likely any would be to come to Miami. Other positions a little later.
I think that the team must sign at least one, and preferably two mi priced, stable, veteran OGs. I think that we'll also need to bring in at least one corner as well, as shallow as we are there. A lot of the rest will depend on how we handle our own UFAs.
Coby Fleener, TE Dwayne Allen, TE Kelechi Osemele, OG Walter Thurmond, S Tashaun Gipson, S Prince Amukamara, CB Zach Brown, LB Derrick Johnson, LB Jaye Howard, DT Emmanuel Lamur, LB Demario Davis, LB Trumaine Johnson, CB Just some names to throw out there. I'm not expecting all of these to be signed but merely these are names I'm interested in for free agency.
Indy isn't letting Fleener get away. They'll tag him if need be, but I don't think that they'll have to. Allen is my #1 target at TE if we don't bring Cameron back on a reduced contract.
I don't see Fleener leaving but I don't think it's so set in stone or that the Colts would franchise him. He's been inconsistent, plagued with drops from what I've heard from fans and read. He's worth investigating if he does hit the market however. Allen too has had issues mainly with injuries. I could see the Colts letting both of them walk and taking a chance on Hunter Henry from Arkansas.
living in Eagles land there are 3 I would like to see on the Fins & should not break the bank. DE Vinny Curry to replace Vernon FS Thurmond CB Carroll
Carroll was a solid #3 CB for us while he was here. I'd be happy to have him come back as an affordable reserve.
Allen's been hurt, yes, but I think that there's a lot of upside there. He played really well at times during the 2012 & 2014 seasons. Pair him with Sims for a year, and we have a solid set of TEs at a fair price.
It's hard to come up with too much without a coaching staff to figure out scheme fits. I do very much like the idea if you can get Haloti Ngata for a good price. He had a bit of a down season but he's a lot of what you want Jordan Phillips to develop into, and you can't entirely trust him yet.
No point at looking at free agents until we have new coaching staff and seeing what type of players will fit new schemes.
A starter at G and LB that aren't break the bank, big name starters. We don't need all world, we just need some solid starters to replace guys who shouldn't see the field.
Derrick Johnson, LB, Kansas City Eric Berry, S, KC or Reggie Nelson, S, Cincinnati Those two would clean up a lot... Maybe Cam Wake for Prince Amakamura Then just bring in every available O-lineman we can get our greasy mitts on. Don't tell me we can't. Cutting Cameron and Grimes clears up like 20 million... Wake is big money also.
Well, I like those at S but their cleaning up is about 10-15 yds downfield... maybe someone cleaning up closer to the line of scrimmage.
Jesus, we paid Jordan Cameron more than Antonio Gates and Shelley Smith more than Richie Incognito...Ughh, fml
Lamar finds himself in a fine position- not use up by any means, talented, the team needs him, other teams want him. Maybe if we would have ran him more he would want more to stay... but then again he might not be as non-used-up in that case.
Jaye Howard DT 5.5 sacks playing mostly NT Eric Weddle FS May be more affordable than most think Trumaine Johnson CB 7 interceptions Derrick Johnson ILB 33 years old but playing at an extremely high level Donald Penn LT PFF's #7 LT Move Albert inside to OG and draft a LT to develop Leon Hall CB Veteran depth, perhaps slot corner
