So, Dolphins are bringing him in for a second interview. But guess what. So are the Eagles. IT All comes down to him. Which team does he think he can work better with. Which will offer him better job security. And which will offer him more power and money. We shall see
On the Eagles website. And also on Coachingsearch.com. It's multiple sources. Surprised you haven't heard it yet.
I actually saw the opposite, that they didn't have a second interview lined up yet. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...doesnt-have-second-interview-with-eagles-yet/
Good! Maybe the Eagles will get him. We need an experienced HC and have DC as the assistant so the he can gain more experience.
Ahh, so it maybe just the dolphins then. Depends, he's probably high on himself after coaching a QB like Cutler. Wonder how much power he would want. And how much is Ross willing to give him. That could make/break it right there.
Honestly, what is there to be excited about. The Bears offince was just a little better than ours. I wouldn't consider his experience in Denver at all. In Denver he had one of the greatest QBs ever. Maybe he learned something from Peyton. QBs like Manning, Marino and Brady make it easy for coordinators. I'm willing to bet that we are talking about new coaching canidates in 4 years from now. The problem with this team is Ross. He has to go!
Eagles fans are bummed they aren't getting him. Bears fans are distraught over losing him. And like always, dolphins fans hate everything our FO does (with good reason, of course) Funny how this is
Dolphins fans at this juncture would find something to ***** about and/or be skeptical of every single possible hire. Jaded and dejected Dolphin fan has reached new heights of pessimism.
Philbin didn't call plays or really work with Rodgers in Greenbay. He was an OL/quality control coach that got the OC title while the HC filled that role. I think the problem with Gase is that most people don't know that much about him. I sure didn't. The more I dig, the more i find there is to like. The comparison to Philbin is just lazy.
I don't know what Bear fans you are writing about. When you go onto their multiple forums, most of the fans are already writing about who the next OC will be. The vast majority of Bear fans don't seem upset at all Gase may be leaving. They don't think the Bears offense was that good with Gase as the OC. As far as Eagle fans are concerned. They are just happy Kelly is gone and they look at any new head coach as an improvement.
Peyton Manning was pretty much the offensive coordinator in Denver. Gase had nothing to do with Peyton's success. You will get what you want, Philbin 2.0!
This is my favorite: http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/...ns-HC-today!?p=2386464&viewfull=1#post2386464
And the Staff and organization deserve it... Countless years of BS picks, moves, PR, and plain bad football of course were pessimistic. Nothing we can do now but Wait and give the man a chance.. However I am tired of every 4 years asking the fans to reboot and give them 3-4 more years to be competitive.
There is no doubt in my mind there are other candidates out there the majority wouldn't ***** about. I wouldn't even have complained if we hired Shula. I had 4 or 5 names ahead of Gase. That's why i'm "jaded." And I'm sure a lot of others feel the same.
I think the majority are taking the wait and see approach and the loud few are the ones who's whining about this hire.
