    What would that be?

For me its a no brainer... OLine! No matter who is the QB without protection they will never be any good. Also add in the AFC East has 3 of the best front 7's in the NFL (Pats top 10 D and lead or 2nd in sacks, Jets one top D's in the NFL, and Buffalo was off this year but that front 7 is damn good if coached correctly.)

    What do you all think?

I think it's between the offensive line and linebackers

I say linebackers because if improved could dramatically improve our defense

Which without saying puts the offense on the field more gives us more time set scoring lowers the score against us

The answer is Guard. If you're letting me say O-line that's like winning the lottery.

It's O-line and it's not even remotely close. Hell, I'd take this LB Corp for another 3 years if you told me we could fix the O-line.

    Seriously, it's not even close.

Offensive Line. It's been the single worst area on our football team for a few years now, and even if you want to go out and replace Ryan Tannehill with anybody on the market right now, don't you at least want that replacement to have a snowball's chance in hell of finishing the season alive?

Coaching staff is also a great answer.

    Owner.

But if we're talking direct to the team, the easy call is the OL. If I wanted to play a tangent though, I'd say the run game, since that would both require help from and also benefit the OL and the offense overall.

    But yeah. Owner.

    OL.

Though it's worth noting that we might have our choice of both top tier LBs in this draft. A very exciting possibility. Lb could possibly be very easy to fix for us.

Why would 2-4 need to be fixed if QB is the problem because he's not a winner?

Agreed with the OL as the top priority.

Another simple, and easier/low-cost fix would be upgrading the Kicker going into 2016.

We have so many issues to fix, not sure it matters which is the most important in people's minds. HC, OL, LB, CB, etc.. Thing is, one great offseason could actually fill in most of those holes. Not that I think it will happen, but if a GM wants to prove his worth (Tannenbaum isn't getting fired so it's up to him) this is the year to do it.

3 QB's (Wilson, Tannehill, Smith) sacked the most this year in the league. 2 of those 3 QB's led their team to the playoffs, guess which QB did not

QB.......all day every day. Many teams had a worse OL then us and faired better. Our QB would see a defensive player running straight at him from 5 yards away and freeze and stand there and take a sack.

Seattle with over 2,100 rushing yds, KC with 1850 yds, Miami at 1400 yds. Your OL had better be able to do ONE thing fairly well (pass block or run block) for the QB/team to have success. Put another way, Seattle ranks #3 in rushing, KC #7, and Miami is #27.

What about the defense? Seattle is ranked #2, KC is #8, and Miami is #27.

Given those numbers, can we place most of the blame for losing on Tanny? I think not.

As for the thread topic? I was going to say 'OL' but fixing the Owner is the long term solution.

Yeah... that is like fixing the broken glass that fell off the slanted table, then putting it back on the slanted table.

OL, then fix it some more.

If miracles really do happen... the owner.

This. It all rolls down hill. A good owner hires good football people. Good football people hire good coaches and draft good players. Good coaches and good players win games. Simplistic, but true.

Guard. The offense cannot function without fixing those two holes. We knew that coming into the year and the team gambled and lost.

There are other BAD holes, but without fixing the guard position, nothing else is going to matter. However, fix it and get better health from the other three starters on the OL, and we have potential stars at almost every other position on offense.

For me it would be the owner. As long as Ross is the owner of the Dolphins, we might have a better stadium, but the team will never be better than mediocre.

Other teams win in spite of owners worse than Ross. While you can argue that he's a hinderance (I don't think that he's much of one), The Jets, Bengals, Colts, Cardinals and other have all had success in recent years even though they have owners who are curently or have been much worse than Ross.

    Seattle's rushing attempts 464 good for 3rd.
    KC's rushing attempts 397 good for 13th.
    Miami's rushing attempts 310 good for 32nd.

Probably just a coincidence I'm sure.

The fact that they have the #2 and #3 defenses in the league means absolutely nothing, also.

I would have to say coach. I was fortunate enough to see the transition Miami made when Don Shula arrived as head coach of the Dolphins and the impact he had. I would love to see that same transition once again.

I really don't see how you can consider any of those owners worse than Ross. Every team you mentioned have had better coaching staffs and better GM's than the Dolphins during the time these other owners have been with their respective teams.
All these teams have made the playoffs under their present ownership.

The Dolphins have not had a single winning season during the seven years of Ross's ownership and instead of getting better, this years team is the worst team since the 1-15 team in 2007.

The job of the owner is to hire the right people to put a winning product on the field. Ross has consistently failed to do this, ever since he became the majority owner of the Dolphins in 2009.

I would gladly trade him for any of the owners of the four teams you listed and I wouldn't think twice about it.

The Jets owner fired Tannebaum because of how badly he managed their cap and how ineffective he was as the teams GM.
Yet Ross hired Tannebaum to head the football operations for the Dolphins.

I rest my case. Ross is guilty of being the worst owner in the NFL over the last seven years.
