Shula also had the benefit of coaching during a time when you could truly build a team through the draft and keep those same guys around. There was alot less player movement between teams back then; however, it's still a great accomplishment.
Well you could also say that during that time it was harder to do, because if your a HC with a good football mind, you will always strengthen your team with FA and the Draft on positions you need to fix...Shula only had the Draft. I am just hoping nobody is crazy enough to believe that Parcells will be coming close to being as good a football man like Shula....they are on very different levels, but hopfully Tuna will not let his ego get in the way of getting Miami at the top again. I admit Tuna has some skills, as long as you do not allow him to coach on game day, it might be alright.
I believe that he still the "Winningest Coach" to ever coach as well. I think Belicheat may be moving in oh him though...
