Cavs line is super fishy, Vegas wants Cavs money. 7 points is a lot to the squares who will only remember that Cleveland outplayed them without Love and Kyrie the first half of that series. If I were to play that one it would be a small bet on Under. Like OKC at -8.5 Trying to get a read on the Heat game, help.
That 1st half was...awkward. Pels are terrible man. Would love to see the Brow on a team with at least a little more talent.
Thank you C. Bosh for getting me the 2-0 start to my day (Heat-5, Und 199) with the start the Thunder are off too? I will need it.
Heat offense isn't ECF worthy however our defense is champion caliber. I can smell a Riley trade for a shooter or two.
Wonder what they could get for Dragic? Ive watched about 5-6 Heat games and he seems like he doesn't fit in.
Doubt any team wants him for the contract he has. Going to give him some more time until I give up on him.
The one where riley said he should sacrifice money for a ring? You mean that steered him to the spurs after the Knicks insisted he play center right? LMA specifically said he didn't wanna be a 5 and Phil and the rest of the knicks front office insisted he play the 5 until Porzingis was ready to be a 5. It was their courtship of LMA that lead me to believe they will target DMC next because clearly they want someone capable of playing the 5 until KP is ready and they are starting to realize RoLo doesn't fit their offense and negatively impacts their pace. This is some decent info.http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/eye-o...marcus-aldridge-because-of-kristaps-porzingis
See thats the thing...defensively hes not. Lopez is still the better rim defender. KP cant handle big players like Boogie, Towns just straight overpowered him, or Al Jefferson. He can handle stretch 4's like Love. He still has to grow in to his frame.
Whiteside was pouty again when taken out at the end. It worries me that all you have to do is double him so he either forces it or has to pass which so far leads to turnovers. Whiteside isn't worth a max yet. Unfortunately I see a team that might give it to him. Which would be a shame. Our team is progressing him into being a better center. Hope he stays with us for the right price since we did give him the only opportunity to play in the NBA. "Doc said no"
He doesn't owe us anything. If someone is willing to give the max and we won't, then he should take it. Once in a lifetime opportunity. And how do we know he was "pouty"? One Skolnick tweet? And why is he being watched like a hawk anyway? Lastly, he should've gotten some run at the end. It was a layup parade at the end of regulation for the Pels. We need more shooting. Our spacing still is t good and we have too many guys playing big roles that just can't score.
Deangelo russell is cringing to watch... Not a natural scorer nor passer. Still young though so he got time but this kid likes to jack up so many dumb shots..
He's a ball stopping black hole (The space phenomenon). If he were a better AND willing passer...I would. Till then, he has to settle for the Wade P&R's.
Could be wrong, but I think the first pass he actually got near the paint last night was when Winslow dished to him off of a cut. Resulted in two made FTs, iirc. But even then, I mean, Winslow doesn't check in until past the halfway mark of the 1Q, and it's not like that play was run for Hassan. I get that NO was leaving Bosh a lot of good looks, but we should keep Whiteside more involved, imo. I did like the 15 footer he hit when he kinda looked around, no one near him, so he just went for it.
I remember reading (not seeing) that his defense on Cousins ironically was quite impressive for a soft skinny Euro. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Didn't get a chance to comment but jeez, for the Lakers fans sake I sure hope Deangelo Russell develops well.. that kid needs a lot of work ... A LOT...
You actually make valid points. Whiteside's body language is a tell but you're right on why he's being watched like a hawk. I'm a bias Heat fan that's spoiled so I apologize for that. However putting myself in Whiteside's shoes, I would look for the max too.
Great win today against Orlando... Had to come from behind from a giant deficit to win, didnt expect that kind of effort on a back to back game in a holiday weekend.. Love it
Gotta post this in honor of our Back To Back victories.
So, how many games does Golden State lose? 3 or 4? Whats crazy is San Antonio is close to being in the 72 win area pace as well.
Here is the Mission should they choose to except it: January is Here. 17 Games, 5 at Home, 12 on the road, 4 Back to Backs Including a Pacific Division road trip. Go at Least 8-9 and we are HOME toward a top 4 seed.
The game Monday- Lakers at Hornets was awesome. We were Row B behind the Lakers bench. Kobe looked right at my daughter (biggest Kobe fan in history) smiled and gave her a two-tap chest pump... she broke out crying immediately. Her so instantly happy made me choke up too. She said it happiest day of her life... haha. She also talked Portugese to the little guard, got a wink from the big bald dude (Sacre) and the guard L.Williams smiled and waived to her. The team doctor also gave her a smile and a wink... she was getting their attention for sure. What is it about a good-looking blond girl and men? heehee I could not have asked Kobe to do something for her and gave him a million dollars (I know money doesn't mean as much to him) and it have turned out any better. We are on you tube videos of the game (big headed grey haired guy and blond girl (age 25) in Kobe jersey right behind their bench. She is standing up cheering Kobe even when he touched the ball on the other end. Funny. We went back to the hotel after the game and saw ourselves on Sports Center... what a trip. Lucky probably she knew all their names... they seemed surprised when she would call out to them. In the 4th Q when Kobe came back into the game the entire Arena was shouting--- 'Kobe, Kobe, Kobe' everyone was there to see him. He took a second to make it the finest day of all for my daughter... and thus me too. THANKS Kobe... and thanks to those other Lakers.
Last b2b was rough, 4 games in 5 nights. Ugh. Bosh's cold streak was infuriating against Memphis; not much you can do there. I underestimated Winslow's general impact. On defense of course, especially when he and Bosh are together. We're missing the steadiness he plays with. Not sure what Green's been doing defensively, seems like he's losing that (newfound) discipline he was showing earlier. You can sorta live with his streaky shooting if he's solid on defense, but that just hasn't been the case lately. Josh Richardson sent to DLeague, looks like, with TJ back. Makes sense...he looks promising, but he's been a huge negative so far whenever he gets on the floor. Rookie stuff. Anyone know what's up with McRoberts' health? Man, what a disappointment that addition has been. We could really use his offensive savvy, if he gets it back. I look at the roster and think, damn, we should be better on offense. Give it a little more time and I think it'll come together. Gotta trust Spo, Wade, and Bosh to straighten everything out.
Bill Parcells once said [paraphrasing] that nothing good happens in clubs. Even when something good happens its usually followed by something bad. Fast forward to this season for the Knicks.... A few weeks ago Derrick Williams meets two girls in a club, gets them back to his apartment and wakes up with over 600K in jewelry missing Last night Cleanthony Early gets shot in the knee (somehow is avoiding surgery) outside a Queens strip club. Im actually kinda curious if he got shot outside of the same one where one of my friends got shot in the head (and somehow is still alive...God Bless) And that doesn't include ex Knick, now pacer forward Chris Copeland getting stabbed in April outside a Manhattan club. Yep, Parcells wasnt our best GM or anything like what we hoped he would be but the old man may have known a thing or two....
San Antonio's record could prove to be inflated at this point. They've had one of the softest early schedules in the league. As a fan it's nice to see them handling the weaker teams like a dominant team should, but nothing is proven for the Spurs yet. Here's my very, very rough visual take on their schedule difficulty - red=tough, green=soft. Did a few weeks back so might adjust some of those mid-level teams a bit now, but it's still more or less there:
Anyone care to give their opinion on what I've been reading about Whiteside - that the Heat's defense is actually better without him than with him (statistically?) - and so he could possibly make for an excellent trade opportunity for them even before the off-season. Thoughts?
And while I'm at it, here's my quick take on Miami's schedule toughness. I may have been a bit unfair to Washington, Orlando, Charlotte and a couple of the other yellow teams. They might be better placed as orange. And Houston, I'm desperate to list them as orange instead of red. They've not been themselves this year. However, they look like they're improving again, and as bas as they can be on defense, that offense is usually elite, so I'm reluctantly listing them as red, even though I don't think Houston will ever achieve a championship or a conference title with their current line-up - they will prove to be tough opponents, even if only occasionally, to even the best teams. Overall it looks pretty balanced with but an edge to the second half being tougher and particularly for a stretch starting at the beginning of February.
