If we trade for him he is only getting paid 9.2 Mil over a 5 year deal and i think if we can trade our 2nd #32 overall i think the browns would be up for that What would u guys think about Quinn it could be a Quinn to Ginn for years to come
If bill does'nt like what he sees in beck its really something that could be feasible, {beck is not his prototypical QB,,} the browns are in a pickle with quinn and anderson, what a splash bill parcells would make in this town if he targeted brady quinn as his future QB, i tell ya, i never thought we could land the best football mind in the game IMO but we did in bill....... hmmmmm, brady quinn, can yall let me dream.
well they drafted him with the 22nd pick overall and we will have the 32nd overall and we could throw in a few more draft picks that is if Bill doesnt like Beck i am a Beck fan but i like Quinn to
I said this before and I'll say it agian. How stupid as a franchise would we look to trade for a player that we could have drafted flatout? Let the Quinn threads go........
the reason i posted this is because i have heard that they are shoping him he is a good QB and might be a good pick up for miami if Bill doesnt see any thing in Beck and in last years draft Bill wasnt Doing the draft for us
This is stupid. If Parcells really is not big on Beck then he will get a FA vet, and/or likely draft a new QB. Nor would the Browns give up Quinn for anything less than our 2-3 rounders, and even that is iffy at best. Id rather draft Matt Ryan and then pick up some defense or something than trade for Quinn.
Wouldn't look so stupid if we traded away a 2nd rd pick....considering we will have Quinn AND Ginn. Much better than spending the 9th on him... I'd rather we stick with Beck for now. Wasn't Matt Lienart supposed to be a superstar by now??....
I wouldn't consider the Browns' situation as being "in a pickle". Usually being in a pickle refers to being in a bad spot. Do you really think they're in a bad spot? I don't. Just my own opinion here, but I believe most any team in the NFL would like to have their problem. Also why isn't Beck a Parcells' prototypical QB? Beck is 6'2 216#. Did you know that Phil Simms is/was 6'3 216# ? To me your statements are similar to the remarks about JT not being a prototypical Parcells' DE. Yet Parcells' own words lead me to believe that a "prototypical" Parcells player has more to do with talent and fire and less to do with size.
I wouldn't mind it though probably not for a 2nd (unless it's a conditional 2nd). Beck's getting there in terms of age and any more time spent on development and he could have a short career.
If we need a new quarterback we draft one. IMO I'd rather have Brennan or Booty over Quinn. If it happens tho I wont be upset. It was the one move that absolutely ****ed my day up. I'm happy as hell now, but on that day in April it hurt like a b*tch. If I were the Browns I'd keep Anderson and shop Quinn. Team hasn't done **** in years and had a great chance of making the playoffs. Would really like to see Anderson here but no way we give up our #1 overall.
Awesome idea. Let's give up our 2nd round pick for an unproven QB that hasn't played a NFL game. I was never a big Brady Quinn fan, but what as this guy done that has everybody so excited about him? If, as an organization, you don't think you have your future or present QB on your roster you draft another. We got into this mess by trading picks for unknown commodeties.
I would not trade any picks for a QB this year. I would especially not trade any picks for an unproven QB.
To be fair, it was Mueller/Cameron who didn't want him. And we actually know that Dallas had him rated #7 overall on their board and considered taking him before trading the pick to Cleveland (Jerry jones interview during ESPN draft coverage). That being said, it's not going to happen, but it's not so outlandish when you realize that different people are likely going to be making those decisions for the fins.
Trading for Quinn....LOL! Come on, guys, we passed on him last year when he fell to us. Now you want to trade for him? Cleveland will want an arm and a leg for him, no matter what.
I think congress and the president should pass a law that forbids the city of Miami from ever using a 2nd round pick on a quarterback whether through the draft or through a trade. 1st not a problem, 3rd not a problem but no more 2nd rounders please
The Browns used a first round pick and traded another away for Brady Quinn. Now suddenly they would turn around and trade him for a second round pick. Come folks you gotta be smarter than that. Who would want Quinn anyway. If you are going to trade with them for a QB at least go after the one who has partially proven himself. Can we please let the Brady Quinn stuff die. We didn't take him. Get over it people!
I don't see us trading for Quinn. Beck will get a shot and if Tuna doesn't want Beck then he'll bring in a veteran(Volek maybe?) or draft one and please, lets not talk about trading multiple picks for anyone. We need all the picks we have plus more. Ozzy rules!!
Guys just stop this !&^#%$ right now. 1. The Browns are NOT going to trade Quinn. They're going to keep him and DA for 2008 2. The Phins are goign to trade down the #1 pic
PFT mentioned that we may be interested in Anderson, and that we may also have interest in Romeo Crennel.... Point being, for some reason, PFT is trying to play matchmaker between the Fins and the Brownies, Anderson seems a real long shot, Crennel if the Browns make the play offs, isn't going anywhere, so why all the smoke? Brady Quinn in the "Revenge of the Draft Boards of 2007?"
what has brady done this year to warrant us wasting a pick on him when we didn't do it last year? the answer: nothing .....but its fun to read all this stuff though.
he's gone on the record in saying that he no doubt prefers big tall quarterbacks, ive heard him say that if you can't see where your throwing, its gonna be real hard to be consistent.
your right but i think you know where i'am comin from, its a situation reagardless on what their going to do with their future at quarterback and they will have to make a decision at some point, i'am was'nt very serious about to begin with, brady does'nt cost them much for them to keep him around another couple years so, SA LA VEE. in regards to your other point, TO BILL PARCELLS SIZE IS IMPORTANT,NO DOUBT, NOW, WHEN IT COMES TO GREAT PLAYERS LIKE ZACH AND JASON, I DON'T THINK HE'S STUPID
