Will he be a Dolphin next year?

What sort of cap hit are we looking at if we cut him?

Yes, he has been one of the better players, especially in the last half of the season.

He has 20 million in guaranteed money and inked the contract just a couple months ago, his cap hit would be huge and you're not even likely to get back similar talent in draft. He's staying for now, he isn't that old.

He is a big cap hit if not and has been one of our better defensive players, so I don't see why not.

If they finally strighten out the defense and place Porter in the right alignment he can be a dominant defensive player again. He's progressed better in the second half of the season, and his intensity has not deminished in any way. Parcells wants guys with HEART, and he's that type of player!

Why would we want to cut or trade him?

    Well away from here
63 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 1 FF and 2 ints. - yeah he's awful and we don't need any guys like that to help us next year.

    Get rid of the bum.

Joey Porter has been playing really good as of late that would suck to get rid of him

How many more years of elite level productivity can we expect from Porter? How old is he?

He was awful earlier this year, it was a terrible signing but we are stuck with him.

Joey is not going any where. He is the type of line backer that we need more of. Nothing against Zach but I am a fan of the bigger linebackers. He is the type that Parcells loves.
