Wilson would've been waived but this guy is still the starter 4 seasons in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
why dont we test your vaunted reading comprehension skills. what is my reason for why he would've failed in miami
got news for you. i have never taken anything you wrote seriously. and it started way before here on out
My offer is still on the table to compare SAT scores. IQ test would be fine too. Your choice. I frankly don't care what your reasoning is. Wilson is better than Tannehill at everything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ah, you took me off ignore but cared enough to message me and make a dramatic statement but I'm the one with an obsession? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Man, some are still trying to compare Tanne to Wilson? Wow. Twisted. Why? Doing so, really discredits any kind of argument one can make. It's so incredibly ridiculous. To this point, there is absolutely no comparison. Wilson was a far superior player in college than Tanne has been in the pros and Wilson is far superior now. Stop with the insanity.
i know bevell was but bevell doesnt really run a standard wco in seattle. the pass routes are probably founded in sherman's and reid's but its a run dominated offense. everything is predicated off the run. it reminds me more of a chuck knox or tom osborne offense. they can't run some standard wco pass plays because of wilson's height and the lack of gamebreakers at wr. so they run a lot of bunch formations and gadget plays. alot of the stuff is on the outside. also carroll is a firm believer in getting chunk yardage so its far more vertical than a standard wco (which probably doesnt exist anymore lol). i think if you look at sherman's history with green bay, houston and texas a&m you really cant make the case that he would have changed his offense for wilson. in all likelihood he wouldve benched wilson and played moore on a side note i'm very impressed with bevell's ingenuity on offense and the ability to adapt to whatever the circumstances. i love how he is able to set up so many plays where the receivers are wide open given what he has to work with. I think he should be on our list for head coaching prospects
Are you going to take up the offer or not? You seem very confident that you're smarter than me. Why not prove it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
what are you in high school or something? do you double dare me? you bring nothing to this site but trolling. you have zero insights into the game that rise above he's great or he sucks. do you believe you should be respected for that contribution
Tannehill is a Bust. He's responsible for the firing of 3 coaches with his mediocre play. Nobody can work with his limited skillset
You're the one that questions my intelligence. If you're so confident, why not prove it? Talk is cheap. Right, nothing but trolling. Zero insight. I don't care if I have your respect. There's other posters that disagree with me who I can have a debate with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You may have a top 3% IQ, but with the paragraph above I have no choice but to have serious doubts about your ability to understand the game of football. This likely won't register or you will fire back some obscure comment, BUT........he threw the ball exactly where he was supposed to!!! The pick play was slowed down and the WR was late getting there and the CB made an outstanding play.
Funny picture. Here are his numbers from that game: 25-32 (78%) 277 yards. 8.7 YPA. 2-0 TD-INT. 123.6 Rating. 6 rushes for 48 yards. Just saying!
Exactly. Nobody blamed Wilson. There's nothing he could've done to stop Butler from jumping the route except to audible to a HB draw. So yes, I do blame him, but not for how he threw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He's perfectly capable of having those types of games, especially when he runs. I wonder what the rushing stats were in that game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe my memory is faulty but if I recall he threw four interceptions between the SB and the championship game....all of them slants. Were they not all slants? Was it three instead of four?
Bro. Let it go. As I previously mentioned, when you start comparing Tanne to Wilson, you have lost all credibility and the whole issue just becomes a pure farse. You, obviously, haven't watched Wilson in college nor the pros. You're mentioning issues with a guy who, as you stated, was in a championship game and a Superbowl....twice. You're knocking Wilson in some futile attempt to make the fantasy that Tanne is as good as Wilson true. No matter how hard you try, it never will be. He threw some picks on slants? Really? Is that all you got? What's your excuse when Tanne couldn't make just a couple of plays to get us into the playoffs for at least two years in a row? Oh, it was the team around Tanne. I get it, even though in those moments, he had time and just plain whiffed. Anyone who engages in these lame attempts to discredit good players in order to propagate some fantasy that Tanne is great or as good as these players, either has too much time on their hands or just has some bizarre man-love crush. Either way, let it go. This issue and argument isn't doing you any favors.
i bet you loved kaepernick too. To be clear, the argument is which type of system can wilson be effective in. it actually has nothing to do with tannehill. do you think wilson could run a colts type of offense, a patriots, a lazor offense and be effective at it? there's a reason he lasted till the 3rd round and it has nothing to do with 31 teams missing his talent. it has to do with scheme. he could have lasted till the 7th round and i doubt that more than ten teams would have considered him. you guys just look at the results. you dont look at the reasons behind the results. put wilson in a lazor offense where he cant depend on a ground game and has to shoulder more of the burden for carrying the offense. add a defense that's ranked in the 20s so he has to add a touchdown a game to get the same amount of wins. he would turn into tavaris jackson. granted with lazor the only qbs that might have some success are brady or brees and i'm not even sure about that. but you have other offenses that wilson would be horrible in. do you think wilson could ever run a sean payton offense or would payton have to completely change the offense to suit wilson?
Adam is right. Let's not pretend seattle got anything other than fantastically lucky with a collection of circumstances here. Yes. They'd drafted good players around him but if Wilson was so special they were playing a risky game leaving him to 31 other teams more than once. He's a talented and impressive player. Would he be as successful elsewhere? I doubt it. The hc and OC and the team around all serve to make him look very special. Which outside of a tiny fraction of qbs is exactly what happens. We know the true superstar elite qbs. The future hall of fames regardless of their supporting cast. In 10 years are we looking at more than brady or Rodgers or manning? I doubt it. A few who make good cases in roethlisberger and Brees and Romo and rivers. Not many for 10 years of evidence. Despite the desire to rebrand it this is still a team sport. Our team has a few genuine top of their position players. Suh and Jones. It has a few who might make it. And a number who probably won't. This is the problem. Very few teams out perform their talent level because there are very few great HCs out there. Sometimes you just need to accept that others are better. "Blah blah you may be happy to accept mediocrity blah blah" That's the line that always comes back. I'm not. I'd rather we won. But I'm not self centred enough to think this team owes me a win. Or deluded enough to think we can just point at a player and make them a HOFer. We need to build. This advocating moving on seem to think any other qb would waltz around behind our turnstile OL and suddenly look amazing. The defense would actually not give up really simple plays time and again. The special teams wouldn't look baffled most opportunities. It's not all on the qb.
First, I don't where you get the idea that I'm a Kapernick fan and even he is far different from Wilson, BUT keep it up. You're looking good bro. Now, you've brought yet another QB into this lame argument. It's kind of sad. You clearly have no idea how to differentiate between QBs skill sets. Actually, you must be just f-ing around. This has nothing to do with Tanne bro and you know it. It's a circle jerk. Keep rockin'
Yeah, because Tannehill added in 48 yards at 8 yards a carry. The standard run game was pretty anemic.
You don't watch him play weekly do you? Almost every throw he has to avoid the pass rush. He is simply amazing and a great player. Watch last weeks game where he kept leading them back time and time again against the Steelers. The Seahawks running game was weak in that game.
Yes, I saw that. We still had a rushing TD from Miller. Plus I'm sure Tannehill averaged a higher YPC because of the element of surprise. Over 30 of his 48 yards came from one run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a nuanced discussion that requires in depth knowledge of the different teams and schemes they play in/on. It's not surprising that some people can't follow along.
You're just embarrassing yourself with these claims. He would've been waived by the Dolphins, he could've fallen to the 7th round and most teams wouldn't be interested, he's a system guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, some guys have legitimate arguments. But when you hear Wilson would've been waived, he should've garnered little attention in the 7th round, is just a system guy, it's ridiculous. I've heard that Tannehill would've annihilate teams if he were the Patriots QB. I've heard Tannehill compared favorably to Luck. What's so nuanced about any of that? Edit: since you think you can follow along, provide a legitimate argument for those claims. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
