Yeah, Jason Cole is very good at giving uninformed opinions as a "foregone conclusion". But I'm sure that his mother still loves him.
Its just Cole slaw for now.Its as good a guess as anyones . However there is that Parcells - TBaum connection.........
Fabricated conjecture by a poorly trained, lazy journalist produced in an effort to drive readers to his company's website. In laymans terms " a whole lot of bull****".
Why would we want him? Not like the Saints are anything special and they do have a really good QB. Their defense has been bad for years.
He would easily be the best coach tannehill has ever had offensively. And their defense being bad has a lot to do with poor scouting and the GM mismanaging the salary cap.
Ill take him... I just dont know about that contract tho... Hell id sign peyton for cheap on a prove it deal, have him compete with tannehill see who looks better at preseason..
If Sean Payton is hitting the market(and for no compensation, no less) I would be suspicious it is because of the substance abuse issues that have been rumored.
Rather have Hue Jackson myself. Unless you think Miami is gonna be starting a Drew Brees cailber QB anytime soon. Oh and as for jorunalism. Benjamin Allbright @AllbrightNFL Everything I've heard is the same thing I've been saying the last few weeks, Hue Jackson at the top of Dolphins short list.
To be honest having this guy here with Ross as an owner could be a match made in heaven, for the first 3 years or so before Mike drives everyone nuts. Lol But to be honest you have a strong willed, tough minded coach who has been there before. But he is also damn intelligent and brings a system that does not require elite talent at every position. Shannahan was successful with Brian Griese, Bubby Brister and Jake Plummer who in varying aspects compare to Tannehill's skillset. If we don't dump him then get a coach who can rebuild him, and do it well mind you. Out of everyone out there, this would be my guy to bring in. Plus IIRC he had a bit of a hard in for Tannehill in the draft. I could be wrong but something tells me he wanted Ryan.
Wouldn't trade a damn thing for him. If you can get him without compensating the Saints, fine. If not, there are good options out there without having to get rid of draft picks. But trading a valuable draft pick for a big name Coach has Stephen Ross written all over it. He doesnt learn
I'll take it with a grain of salt. But can he get Drew Brees here? Though it's 10 years later than we'd like...I'd take a 3 or 4 good years from him. Better than the 15 years of Mediocre-to-bad QB play we've had. Only thing is he would probably not want to leave one s--ty defense in NOLA for the one in Miami even if the Saints wanted to completely gut the team. And he seems to like being in NOLA. Than again, nobody thought Manning would leave Indy or Favre Green Bay. Well, they were forced out a bit. I'm not sure New Orleans has any backup right now. Brees is all they have or they're possibly the worst team in football.
