I watched Sparano's press confrence today. I thought it was interesting. A reporter asked why some players had logo's and others didn't. He said "They will have to earn it.". I thought it was great. LOL http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/flash_content.asp
I believe they did this in Dallas as well. Great character we have. He said "I like the way they looked out for each other out there".
I REALLY like this type of stuff. Millionaires or not, these guys have to earn their stripes. I think a lot of these players take being in the NFL for granted and coast once that huge contract is signed. This is "old school" and a great approach to take IMO.
Yeah, I like these types of things. Some may think its not that big of a deal but it still shows you that you have earn it. I agree.
Yes, thats true but I still think it's a great idea. I didn't say it was unusual, just that I thought it was a great idea.
Ahh, just rookies? I thought they were doing this with everyone, vets and all. That would be a refreshing challenge to a roster
I love the idea of having to earn your logo though. What happens come week 1 of the preseason though. Im sure they have to have them on the helmets for the game.
Yes you have to have logos on all helmets for games. The message is loud and clear during practice weeks though.
the browns arent real? oh yeah, i guess you have to win a super bowl to be real. Sorry Clumpy. Go Dolphins!
If Sparano really wants to get players to put out their max, he should say they'd need to earn their cups during full contact scrimmages.
Well, I'd certainly want some protection if we're practice goal line formations or full-tackle practices.
during Lax in HS we used to get stick checked in the nuts by our HC everyday to make sure we were wearing cups... sometimes people werent
heh, take a look at the ENTIRE "Alens 16000 post" thread from last week, youll have an additional 16,000 posts from saying not called for form every post there.. Dont take things so seriously..
if you got out of the line because you werent wearing one and didnt wanna get hit, he'd make you run laps.
There is just something I like about Sparano. He just seems like a leader and a communicator. I never really had that feeling with Cam. Not that I hated Cam; he just had different qualities.
