So should we add Jamar Taylor to Ireland's long list of 2nd round busts?

Don't worry. Dolphins have the guy that built the Jets into the powerhouse they are today making picks now.

Tannenbaum built the Jets teams that went to back to back AFC title games. You can't ignore that either.

OV, great 3rd round pick. Shelby, great undrafted find. Jelani Jenkins, great 4th round pick. Reshad Jones, great 5th round pick. Charles Clay, great 6th round pick. Rishard Matthews, great 7th round pick. Lamar Miller, great 4th round pick. What a terrible GM, just look at all these bums he found in the 3rd round or later lmfao. Told you OV is legit, watch the tape from the Dallas game and learn something for once, he was an absolute steal in the 3rd round. Most people in the media even say and know we have talent, coaching is the real problem with this team. You're just too stupid to understand, at least Ross finally got it after week 4 when Ireland wanted him gone 2 years ago.

OV for me is still a ?? relative to the price he might command in FA. In the Dallas game he was very good, but there are many other games he hasn't been. I think we need to see what he did against Dallas on a more regular basis before saying he's legit.

As far as Ireland is concerned, how good/bad he was will depend a lot on what happens to Tannehill. Give us a franchise QB and you can be excused for a lot, but if that doesn't pan out.. all his other bad moves will be magnified a LOT more (I mean.. if you don't get the QB right, at least make up for it elsewhere, which right now doesn't seem to be the case).

I was really pissed when Ireland took bum a** Jamar Taylor over the honey badger. Honestly I had a very strong feeling Tyrann would be a star and sadly I was very right. Ireland made tons of mistakes (hated the Vontae trade too), and wasn't a great GM, but a lot of fans don't appreciate the good work he did and IMO he did some excellent work that largely goes unnoticed/unappreciated. Most GM's (like players) don't last long in this league so Ireland on the whole did a decent job imho.

He certainly has his work cut out for him. This team has holes like swiss cheese.

These are all excellent picks, to think they aren't really just show how unfair and biased the Ireland haters are. Nothing new, at least queasy was FINALLY fired which is the main reason Ireland lost his job since he wanted him gone and Ross didn't, what a reason to get fired lmao.

Because it credits Ireland, that's contrary to many Dolfans agenda. I'm used to it by now and the reason I'm no longer on b*** a** finheaven lol. What Chip Kelly/Howie Roseman have done with Philly's roster has been pretty terrible, what Vinny Cerrato did to the Skins roster for many years was practically a crime. I'm very familiar with these two teams because I live near D.C, and trust me, GM wise this past decade, we could have had it a lot worse.

I defended giving Ireland three years of him calling the shots (not Parcells) to evaluate him properly. Once that happened, it was clear to me, he was actually pretty good at spotting talent, but he had no idea how to build a team.

In the end, I'm glad he was fired, but he wasn't the worst GM ever. Hell, he wasn't event he worst GM we've had (hello Wannidiot), and the players you mentioned are great and/or great for where they were picked.

Glad you're smart enough to understand, he had his strengths and weaknesses, like any person. Scouting was definitely a strength of his which makes sense considering his background. The Saints obviously see something there too, but as far as building a complete team....wellllll, that's a different story.

Ireland was good at finding late round steals. The problem was he whiffed on too many of our top 3 round picks and roster management that has left our franchise in the sad state it is. The 2013 draft is the culmination of completely wasting a draft. We got a solid starter and back up TE with 10 picks, 5 of those being in the first 3 rounds. We have 10 starters from his drafts and I'm not sure how many of those starters would start on other teams outside of Jones, Pouncey, Miller, Landry and Matthews.

Ireland was okay. The worst thing about him was the reaches for Tannehill and Wallace, but even worse was letting go of all the guys that weren't "Philbin guys." That's what really screwed us. We lost so much talent under Philbin it's ridiculous. Ireland should've continued to build what he was building with Moore and then draft a QB. He rushed it. He got fired as a result.

Yes he is another huge bust in the 2nd. I wait for him every week to commit a boneheaded penalty on a play where someone made a huge sack.

I think he does it on purpose. Cause no one can possibly be that stupid.

Bobby and Jamar should get plenty of work. It shouldn't be one versus the other. This is the time to test those guys.

    But... whatever.

Dawg, I think I'm better at CB than Jamar Taylor based on my 2 picks in my Turkey-bowl lol. I was really hi on him coming out of college too, his secondary at Boise State was excellent and he was thought to be the best player in that unit. He's still a good athlete, but God are his instincts and ball skills just horrible for the position. He definitely is looking like a bust, Bobby can't be any worse. Brent has also been extremely disappointing this year, this secondary is atrocious except for Jonese of course (thanks Ireland). If only we drafted the Honey-badger over Jamar, everything would be cool, cot dammit Ireland, you chose the wrong stoner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lamar Miller. Ireland was just sooooo terrible lmao. If it wasn't for some of Irelands picks, this team wouldn't have s*** for talent, but we do. Just not a f***** secondary outside of 1 player. What has Hickey brought to this team other than a few solid additions just like Ireland, and nothing outside of the first 2 rounds. Shelby wasn't even drafted.
