    Lol first Tannehill "doesn't care"

Then he calls out a Jet and stands up for his teammate and he's "weak minded"

    The hatred is strong.

He is a kid, he doesn't know better.

Never even saw Dan play. Doesn't know what good QB play is.

    Forgive him.

    Bull****.

Rishard was going to get lit up regardless of whether the throw was behind him, or in front of him, because he was basically the only WR running a route downfield on the play. The ball being on Rishards back hip, or whatever you want to call it had nothing to do with it. Either way he was getting levelled. Rishard didnt move from the second he got hit. For Pryor to say he didnt know, was complete BS. Yes, it's a clean hit, but it still got a guy hurt, don't be a douche about it.

Look, our QB wasn't good and neither was the whole offense, but... this is the worst reason to pile on the guy. It's ridiculous really.

If it was Landry making these comments, we'd be all over his junk for standing up for his teammate. Yet because it's the QB, saying all the right things, trying to lead in his own way, we're going to blame, and bash him.

Criticizing his play is one thing, and probably somewhat deserved, but being completely ignorant, and piling on is another.

Again, see above, watch the play again. Rishard is toast either way with a bad playcall which leaves no choice to the QB. Again, I'm all for criticizing him when its rightfully due, from my recollection of this play earlier... this isn't the right reaction. I'll watch it later this week to further determine when there's no beer/wine involved

I'm sure he did. So what does that have to do with him calling a Jets player classless for dancing while Matthews laid on the ground injured?

Good for Tannehill for sticking up for his guy. I know it doesn't fit the narrative that he "doesn't care" but I'm glad he did.

No. And we should. We should have benched Tannehill IMO during the game today, to at least send a message. You can't start Moore. It's not goign to help. A message needs to be sent. However, I'll also say I only believe that if you're going to start Moore, it needs to be after you've evaluated Tannehill without Lazor.

... He shouldn't have thrown it to Matthews at all. He led the WR into a vicious hit. Basically the only WR running a route? Right...

You're speculating about what I'd say.

I'm ignorant? Listen dude, you're cursing and insulting me. You're way out of line.

He needs to own that he's at fault, not deflect attention to the opposing team when they were clearly celebrating a stop on third down and a big hit.

It wasn't immediately obvious he was injured. It's not like his leg was destroyed like Keller's was. Plenty of guys take a second to collect themselves after a big hit and nobody assumes he's really injured.

You're just being a homer. You know the Jets were just celebrating a stop on third down and a big hit. They weren't celebrating an injury that wasn't even obvious. Matthews took a second to get up, happens all the time. His leg wasn't destroyed and he wasn't put on a stretcher.

And you're purposefully taking what many have said out of context, which is dishonest. Tannehill "doesn't care," meaning he hardly shows fire or intensity when he makes a mistake. This time he doesn't even own that it was his fault. The guy is not a winner, doesn't have the right mentality.

That's the thing, I'm not sure what message it would send. I'm positive Ryan knows he isn't playing very well.

Last year our offense was good and so was Tannehill. This year everything has crumbled. Why? My guess is defenses have caught up and learned how to stop our offense, and Lazor hasn't been able to counter that. Defenses know what's coming more often than not.

Lazor's offense looked pretty before defenses caught onto it. Now look at it. We need better coaching more than anything.

I actually applaud Ryan saying something that doesn't sound scripted, good for him for speaking out.

Remember, some think he will be shopped around this offseason, so benching him decreases his value. IMO, nobody is going to give up anything valuable for that contract relative to his play thus far.

All I know is we can't come out these last few weeks running the same ridiculous offense and somehow expecting different results.

Again, he has to take responsibility. He didn't. He deflected attention to the opposing team when Matthews was just on his knees catching his breath. It wasn't obvious he was injured, just seemed like he had the wind knocked out of him.

Again, you're misrepresenting what people have said in this board.

Being a blind homer isn't a good thing. It means you're ignoring the truth to support your guy.

You know the Jets didn't believe he was really injured. You know they were just celebrating a stop on third down and a big hit. It's not obvious the guy was hurt, stop spinning the story to support your guy.

Ok, so if he shouldn't have thrown it to Matthews... who's he to throw it to? the RB behind the LOS, or Parker 2-3 yards past it? So we can ***** about him throwing short of the sticks. He's trying to make a play with the bull**** called by Lazor.

It wasn't immediately obvious? Really? Rishard didnt move after he was hit. He was down immediately. Pryor celebrated immediately, and long after Matthews was down.

You're being ridiculous. Some of us know the injury already, I assume when you find it out, maybe you're opinion will change, but... then again... I doubt it.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if we shop him. We may try, but I doubt anyone bites unless they're desperate. That contract is alot to swallow after next year (or the year after, whatever it is).

The offense has to change IMO. It's all we can do in season. Lazor likely isnt back next year with a new HC for sure to be incoming. So... just pull the plug Campbell. You have an experienced, former OC on staff in Saunders.

Oh ok. Thanks for telling me what kind of fan I should be. I stand by Ryan and I applaud him for sticking up for Rishard. That's what a good teammate does.

    That's just a blind homer's opinion though.

I'm not unsure. I'm just saying, this is my initial reaction to only being able to quickly re-wind while watching. I'll re-watch the game broadcast again later this week. I didn't drink this afternoon till the second half when things got really bad. I've drank too much since Thursday tbh...

But... way to distract from the actual point of the post because you have no leg to stand on with your ridiculous argument.

Ok... so he's clearly down. and Hurt. so.. uh... whats your point? Pryor was celebrating well after the initial reaction from Matthews. ****,... CBS cut to matthews down for quite some time, then to Pryor and his mates still celebrating well after the fact.

Just face it... you're wrong on this one.

Oh my your recollection has recovered so well. No longer have beer and wine in your system?

It was a big hit, they got a stop on third down. He was catching his breath, not motionless or holding onto an obviously broken limb.

Jets players were praying for him once they noticed. You'll likely hear the same thing from Pryor if the media covers this, which I'm sure they will. Then I hope you hear about it and realize you're wrong. Your hatred for the Jets and love for the Fins makes you biased.

I personally don't care because it's not much of a rivalry at the moment. Neither team is particularly special and we really suck. I still wouldn't let my bias get in the way of the truth.

Every snap? I already mentioned the backup center btw. Still had a ton of missed opportunities and both turnovers were on him. He made NOTHING out of early EXCELLENT field position THREE TIMES.

So aside from the terrible play calling and lack of running, he should be able to fully audible (which he's rightfully not trusted) and his lack of play early on forced him to throw later on.

He had to air it out a ton in GARBAGE TIME because he didn't capitalize when he should've. What game did YOU watch?

Quoting a single statistic out of context is just stupid. Use play by play or tape to put it into context.

    Um... How is that relevant?

I'm not spinning a damn thing. You guys wanna make it seem like the Jets wanted to hurt him and enjoyed doing so. They prayed for him once they noticed. Tannehill was at fault for leading him into the safety and passing it to him at all.

    Sigh...

He wasn't catching his breath actually. Wait for the media to report that...

They were praying for him, after they spent well over a minute celebrating. Anyone with a brain in their head, after seeing the hit, and Rishard on the ground would have known he was hurt.

It's got nothing to do with hatred, or rivalry... it's called common sense. Its obvious Rishard was injured, right from the second he was hit.

You are indeed letting your bias, get in the way of the truth though.

What was he doing then? How was it obvious he was hurt? He wasn't motionless. He was on his knees, catching his breath after getting hit hard. Happens all the time in the NFL without anybody worrying that a guy is injured.

As for what somebody mentioned about Matthews peeing out of his butt on the plane ride. That's not something the Jets players would know and it's irrelevant to what happened. Wasn't it Landry that needed an IV anyway?
