I feel like this is the worst I've ever witnessed the dolphins as a fan inside their division. The dolphins are currently minus 103 points differential and that is most likely going to go up after we play the pats again at the end of the year. Like its pretty jarring how far this team is away from competing considering how our division foes have looked versus us this season. I dunno if anyone remembers a worse season than this, but if so chime in please.
It's not just this season... it goes back to last season as well. 7 straight division losses, if I'm not mistaken.
When a team has had more than one opportunity to game-plan schematically against this coaching staff, they're basically done. They've got no chance vs. division rivals, who now have multiple games(which have tended to get progressively more embarrassing) of preparation. I'm really curious to see what happens against the non-division repeat teams next year- San Diego and Baltimore. They're both significantly worse than last year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they outperform expectations here too.
Made a thread about this around 4 weeks ago, after the Patriots game IIRC. This coaching staff (more specifically, Lazor) got figured out at about midseason of 2014. While some teams (Texans, Titans, etc) get taken by surprise, the teams we play frequently own us, and there's a chance it might include the Ravens and the Chargers this season.
It's hard to believe back in the day the Dolphins owned the division and really focused on those games.
