    A drunken reality. Season gone.

YES: Pretty much the entire team and coaching staff absolutely suck. However.....

I’ve tried to keep somewhat neutral or fair on the Tanne debates, not to mention that they kind of bore me. Over the years, I’ve had plenty of support and positive feelings about Tanne. I’ve made several threads expressing such. I also have had my complaints and concerns. I will go on the record now as saying Tanne is not a good QB. He never will be. He is not the guy. Out. Mic drop.
The drunken reality is that he is what he is and what he will ever be:; a mediocre to bad QB. I am not even going to go into all the reasons for why I feel this way. No point. I can almost guarantee you that he is headed for a nice condo in Chad Henneville. At most, he will be a decent back-up. Maybe. There is just so much, too much lacking in his game and that’s from a mental as well as a physical standpoint. I forget who was directly responsible for that contract, but it was insane and absolutely nothing warranted giving him such a big contract, except some sadistic, sadomasochistic mental disorder.

Ross better be ready to start paying guys under the table or start giving some condos away in someone else’s name or something. We have to find A QB!! If we are in a position to get one next draft, they absolutely have to try and continue to do so until we find the guy.

I am sorry if I’m pissing off a bunch of the “Pro-Tanne” crowd. There’s a bunch of you who I like and respect. You know that this isn’t just some “troll post”. I have been around awhile and usually I am the biggest homer. Always have been. I always was regarding the QBs. Hell, I was even rooting and rationalizing having Cleo F’ing Lemon at QB. When I finally stopped was during the whole John Beck thing. I really liked him, but he didn’t show much and the whole argument or reasoning was that he didn’t have a full off-season and needed more reps, etc. Well, he got his full off-season and reps and guess what? ..he still sucked. He just was what he was…bad. I am still a homer, but it was at that point, where I stopped being so extreme in regards to the QBs. There’s just not enough drugs and alcohol in the world to keep it going any longer.

Tanne gets over-drafted at 8 and he now gets an insanely big contract extension? Huh? What? This was a joke, right? Please say yes! Based on what???

For now, when evaluating a QB, I am going to want a QB who has been a winner. Crazy, I know. I don’t mean playing for the top school or just being a guy on a winning team, but a guy who was a big part of that teams’ success, a guy who elevates his team from a tangible and intangible standpoint. You don’t have to come here and try to list some guys who had success who didn’t. That’s not the point. That’s not where I am at right now. Don’t bring up Tom Brady because he absolutely did show it in college. He was the same guy then. He kept getting pushed aside for big name recruits like Henson, but even then, for whatever reason, he would have to come off the bench and he would be the same old Brady and save the day. He had several late, game winning, clutch drives, etc. I can’t stand the guy, but the Tom Brady story on NFLN is pretty good. It will show you exactly to what I am referring. Tanne was not a winner. He didn't show that much.

Recently I was doing a little bit of research on some of the top QB prospects for this upcoming draft and I was looking up some film clips of them. I then decided to look at some old Tanne highlights from college. I never even wanted or considered Tanne for a mock or whatever that year, as I never thought he would be drafted at 8, but when looking at this years’ prospects, just like with most from the past, you see a lot of great footage and great throws, etc. I know a lot of the videos out there just show the good clips, but the thing is, you watch Tanne’s clips and there really isn’t much out there. Nothing like the others. Nothing like usual. Nothing like from an 8th overall pick. A lot of it is mixed with his WR highlights as well. Yes, he wasn’t a full time starter and played WR. Well, that should have been a big red flag right there. There just wasn’t enough on tape to warrant picking him at 8 and there hasn’t been enough good performances from him in the pros to warrant him getting such a big contract extension. I don’t even know who was really responsible for this. Was it Tannenbaum? Well, I never really liked him when he was with the Jests. He didn’t do a good job there and he always had that kind of Ireland like doucheyness to him.

Hey, aside from Landry, I was pretty much done with the whole team after the first few games this year, so….

    And to that note:
Anyone who tries to marginalize or diminish Landry’s talents and even suggest that he is expendable and should be traded, may need a lobotomy. Seriously, the guy has been the whole team this year. Enough with that crazy talk. We just witnessed what trading away great talent can do. It can really sneak up and bite you. It just did.

Landry is great, hes my favorite player and is exciting as **** to watch. However, he is replaceable, just not super easy.

I read 90% of this, a partially sober tip would be to space it out in paragraphs a bit more to make it easier on the eyes.

As to your many points, I agree whole heartedly with a lot of this (although atm I'm still undecided on tanne) and especially with the part that NOTHING tannehill had done so far warranted giving him such a massive contract extension. You made me lol in real life with the mental problems reasoning and I agree, what in the bloody hell were they thinking???

Ironic you mention Brady, because that's the caliber of QB you need to have success throwing 58 times in a game.

Tannehill is more of a 28-30 attempts per game QB. He's out of his league at 40+ throws. Especially vs good defenses.

Lamar Miler had what, 5 carries today, 7 last week. And we are talking about Tannehill?

Seriously, 33 for 58! What a game, lol. I swear Bill Lazor must tripping or something with the way he lets game plans just fly out the window. Everything just devolves by the time the 2nd half rolls around into nothing but passing. There was a point during the beginning of the 4th quarter where I just walked away. It was nothing but dump-offs to the backs and WRs short. It was as though a Roomba had worked it's way into a closet and couldn't get out or something. It was bordering on psychotic. And then of course you get the big play to Landry out of nowhere, lol. I mean, this offense is a complete joke.

At this point, I can't even tell you what the general notion behind the offense is. Clearly they're passing to set up the run but the passing is virtually all short until you get a couple attempts out of nowhere which seem like a flinch reaction or something.

I have to say. At least with Cam Cameron going 1-15 you had a sense that injuries just kind of erased any hope. That year the team lost it's starting QB, about 6-7 RBs, it's best defender, etc.

This year it just feels like the coaches have no idea what's going on and that's scary. To me, when you look at the owner and at the guy in charge (Tannenbaum) it's even scarier. I mean, point blank, Tannenbaum's record of drafting in New York was worse than Ireland's in Miami.

To anyone who has hope for the future, just think about that. Tannenbaum is worse than Ireland. Take everything that Ireland did right and throw half of it away. Tannenbaum did about that much right with an extra year in which to do it.

Yes. I certainly am. You have to learn to isolate the plays. He can win with 5 attempts, ok? Who can't? Sorry, he's just not good enough.

Awesome read. Right on. I just keep looking and searching and WANTING to see a glimmer of hope, ....but I just can't. He is what he is, fair at best. A decent backup. Funny you mention about watching video highlites of him in college; I agree 100%. I did the same thing. I still do, as I'm looking for "something". I just can't find it. He's been rewarded with fame and fortune his entire career for being mediocre. Just don't get it. I would LOVE to get on here one day SOON and say, "I WAS WRONG ABOUT TANNEHILL. HE'S GREAT"!!!! I would love to, but I just don't see that happening.
