Im not sure why you're upset. That's exactly what Ryan has today. A game of miserable play from him, and from everyone around him, but a bunch of pretty numbers to go along with those bruises.

With James and Pouncey coming back next week and Parker getting more snaps, we will beat the Ratbirds next week.

I did something I've never done before watching a Miami game. I actually tracked each and every offensive play, until the game was changed on those of us here in the Orlando viewing area. Okay, for everyone who wants to point fingers at Tannehill, I'm going to break down play by play, each and every offensive play and then you tell me who the finger needs to be pointed at.

    Miami's first possession
    1-10: Pass, 5 yards
    2-5: Run, (-)1 yard
    3-6: Pass Inc
    4-6: Punt

    2nd possession
    1-10: Pass 17 yards
    1-10: Pass 7 yards
    2-4: Pentaly against NYJ
    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Run 2 yards
    3-8: Pass Int

    3rd Possession
1-10: Run 1 yard, Penalty Mia
    1-25: Pass Inc
    2-25: Pass Inc
    3-25: Run 5 yards
    4-20: Punt

    4th Possession
    1-10: Run 1 yard
    2-9: Pass 10 yards
    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Pass 5 yards
    3-5: Pass Inc
    4-5: Punt

    5th Possession
    1-10: Pass 14 yards
    1-10: Run 1 yard
    2-9: Pass 12 yards
    1-10: Pass 7 yards
    2-3: Run 0 yards
    3-3: Pass Inc, Penaltly Mia
    4-3: Punt

    6th Possession
    1-10: Run 0 yards
    Halftime

At the half, Miami had 8 rushing attempts versus 16 pass attempts. Absolutely no balance whatsoever and the sad thing is that one of those rushing attempts? 3-25 and you hand the ball off to Ajayi. Yea, like he's going to get 25 yards for a first down. Nice surrender Lazor! At this point, the Dolphins are down 14-0 at the half and the Jets second touchdown came just before Miami's 6th possession before the end of the half, so it's not like Miami was backed into a corner and had no choice but to throw. Now, let's look at the second half.

    1-10: Pass 3 yards
    2-7: Pass 20 yards
    1-10: Pass (-) 7 yards
    2-17: Pass Inc
    3-17: Pass inc
    4-17: Punt

    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Pass 13
    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Pass Inc
    3-10: Pass Inc
    4-10: Punt

    1-10: Run 4 yards
2-6: Pass 8 yards, Penalty Mia
    2-16: Pass 6 yards
    3-10: Pass 12 yards
    1-10: Penalty Mim
    1-15: Pass 40 yards
    1-G: Run 1 yard
    2-G: Pass 5 yards TD

    1-10: Pass 7 yards
    2-3: Pass Inc
    3-3: Pass Inc
    4-3: Punt

    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Pass 10 yards
    1-10: Pass Inc
    2-10: Pass Inc
    3-10: Pass 11 yards
    1-10: Pass 14 yards
    1-10: Pass 20 yards
    1-10: Pass 5 yards
    2-5: Pass 5 yards

This is where WKMG changed the game, so I didn't get to finished compiling my own stats, but what do we see here? Ok, We're down 14-0 at the half, but on our first possession, when all of the drunken Jets fans are still at the concession stands, what do we do? Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, punt.

I'm so sick and tired of Bill Lazor and am now learning that Dan Campbell has ZERO control of the offensive side of the ball at all. There's no way on God's green earth that we dont even make any effort to RUN the ball at all! I'f we're not going to run the ball, then I say we trade Lamar Miller and Ajayi for either a couple of more receivers or some offensive linemen. Why even have them on the roster?

I am so sick of the Dolphins!!!!!!! This team has never been the same since Shula was forced to retire.

Not me. I knew this game was over once the Jets scored 21. How u guys can think 21-7 is a game again or that we have any chance is beyond me. Even if u guaranteed me the Jets wouldn't score again after 21 there's still a slim chance at best the fins could score 22+. We don't score more than 17 without a lot of turnovers. That's just the bottomline. Why anybody still thinks this team could win any game where the opponent scores more than 20 is beyond me.

Agreed he also had an absolutely non existent running game supporting him...

I'm not defending him but its hard for me to be down on him since he is a dolphin and I love the dolphins... I think I'm just mad at the entire team (except landry, r.jones and a few others I suppose) at this point

bc all he post's is jabs at tannehill. at least the other people that don't like tannehill contribute to the forum in other discussions. the only time fin-o post is to take shots at the for or against arguments of the qb. basically the definition of a troll, nothing of substance and stupid remarks to egg on other posters.

Nice play by Parker. Good to see. I'm a little behind on the game obviously. Thill coming through in the 4th qtr again! Boom baby! ;)....hopefully we get to see more of Parker and Ajayi. Seasons been over for a couple weeks now. Let's let these rookies develop.

Lazor is a joke his play calling this game was almost as predictable and unimaginable as last game and that was hard to top.... Lethargic, sloppy, predictable and just plain stupid at some points. Im guessing there is no way he survives the off-season or possibly even this week so I guess there is at least hope for the future..

The Defense in the first half played their asses off, despite being on the field all day. With the defense playing at that caliber, Lazor was in a position to play "chess", but instead he wanted to play "checkers".

With the defense playing at the level they were playing, how many rushes could Miami have executed to keep the Jets defense in the box, to make play action a realistic possibility, to open up those passing lanes to Landry, Parker or Stills? Had Lazor called a more balanced game, the Jets defense would have been kept off balance.

And what gets me even more, what about Campbell? I thought he was committed to the run?

I'm really hopeful that in the off season we go after Sean Peyton AND Jim Schwartz both. Peyton's offensive scheme and Schwartz tweaking that defense? But sadly, that's just wishful thinking on my part.

The greater point was in the sheer number of passes, even on short/manageable situations.

All of Tannheill's passes, with the exception of the 40 yard pass to Landry were short passes.

Seems like every time I'm ready to completely throw in the towel on tannehill he flashes a couple really quality throws and reminds me just how bad the O-line and run game have been at supporting him... I think I'm back in the he deserves another chance with a decent team around him camp either that or I'm undecided on him I really don't know what to think at this point

I said it before in another thread, Lazor comes from the Chip Kelly style offense, and how's that working for Kelly in Philadelphia right now?

His job is on the line

To everyone trying to take positives out of this game do you guys realize that literally ALL of our decent plays came in garbage time against a defense that was playing soft to run out the clock? There is absolutely no place for optimism after this mess, we got absolutely demolished and embarassed the entire time the game had any meaning

I don't think the problem is Lazor. I think he is limited due to a horrible OL and a below average QB. Lazor may not be very good but it's hard to tell when your OL can't block and your QB isn't a playmaker. I think they've built this dink and dunk offense to cover up Tannehill's weaknesses. It's like Chad Pennington light with worse decision making and more turnovers.

Why call a pass play on 3rd down for fewer yards than it takes to get a 1st down? Doing that consistently.. on the OC, and that's just one example (being so predictable is another). Our biggest problem on this team is the OC.

Just looked at the final stats on nfl.com

58 passes and 9 rushing attempts. I don't care who you are, you're going to lose every time with stats like that.

When you're sitting at home and can guess what's coming from our offense 80% of the time that's just sad. Look at last week's game, our run was actually WORKING and working really well yet he abandoned it early that game as well and reverted to predictable pass happy garbage. Anyone defending him after watching that Dallas game is delusional I think?

Nine carries for ten yards, sorry that aint gonna get it, blame Tannehill, blame Suh, blame the mascot, the pass/run ratio is unacceptable, the penalties were unacceptable, the O line is an abortion, yeah....Tannehill has had a rough year, but he's STILL going to be our guy next year and I think he'll bounce back. Parker had a day and that is refreshing.

I like the optimism but he really didn't. Good numbers don't mean much when they only come after the opposing defense has switched to soft prevent the game is over style.... Need to see him do it when the opposition is actually playing

While I was sitting here watching the game, I kept thinking to myself, " Hey, since it's not been working, let's throw the ball again" lol

    Lazor surely didn't disappoint.

I was beyond done with lazor after the Dallas game where he abandons the run even when it was working.... I am honestly baffled and confused as to how an "NFL quality" offensive coordinator can call such an amazingly bad game plan
