Evidently Justise Winslow is first in the NBA amongst rookies in plus-minus at +70 and Kristaps Porzingas is second at +67. The next closest is +30.
Also I am sad to inform Heat fans that as the game tonight against the Knicks is on NBATV which I have on my cable feed, I do plan on watching it. I'm sorry in advance.
Gotta win tonight to cap off this homestand. Little extra buzz with the Zinger in town. Knicks have a very good bench too. Juicy little game for November...love it.
They have it at 191. Tough number...but I like the over due to the number of poss. both teams are playing lately. I wouldn't bet a dime on it though.
Feel like Dragic needs a strong showing tonight. Been at home for 2+ weeks, that's the time to get yourself on track. Quiet some of the cause for concern here. And this matchup, I mean, he should work Jose Calderon. Cmon Dragon.
Ok I just saw the ups from Tyler Johnson that CK likes to talk about. Obviously CK lied about watching this game.
I said this before when I made the point that trading McRoberts was a bad idea, but the ball movement when he's out there is just on another level. It's not even just McRoberts. It's like it's contagious when he's on the floor.
heat wont beat any good teams with this shooting. Reminds me of the Memphis teams from the last few years great regular season ball and okay vs sub par teams but wont beat elite teams with no shooters.
FiveThirtyEight looks pretty spot on with their analysis. His floor was projected somewhere around Richard Jefferson. I hope he's able to polish his offense and take that jump though.
They'll beat plenty of good teams if they keep defending like this. Bosh and Green were stone cold for stretches there; I highly doubt that continues to happen at the same time for both.
Green starting to work his way through it. So is Dragic. Looked more confident tonight. McBob has got to start shooting. He was left wide open numerous times and barely even looked at the basket
Well................. They held the Knicks to their worst shooting since 2013, and lowest Pt. Total of the season..... So they are #1 once again...thanks to YOUR Knicks. Why does **** always blow up in Knicks fans faces?
LOL, are you trying to blow the dust off your high horse and start the trash talking? Shows how far your franchise has declined when this is the highlight of your season. By the way, good call on the over...was your google engine not working?
You are the one that started this ****. and..what decline? Throw the rock and hide the hand? and I made no call on the over. I specifically told you the trend was for higher number of Poss. for both teams but I would not BET A DIME ON IT. So when I say that I would not bet a DIME ON IT..it means.."I made a call on the over". I hope you bet it and are now homeless. Anyway...you talked ****...it blew up in your face...I rubbed your face in it. Now, Shut up, be a good sport for ONCE and take it.
Predictions on where the Heat will end their season in the standings? I think they're easily good enough for top two if they can hold it together. I reckon they could definitely challenge the Cavs IF they can continue to build the whole team game. So I'm going to look for top three for the Heat, possible second, and if everything comes together 1st isn't out of the realm of possibility. That too high?
Missed the part where i "talked ****"....did i make some sort of a prediction the Knicks would win?? Are you aging not well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They currently have the 4th best record in the NBA and the #2 seed in the East, a game behind the Cavs. Their current profile is Gaudy, but January is a difficult month schedule wise. if they make it through January holding onto the #2 seed, then they will challenge the Cavs for the #1. Conservative estimate, you gotta say top 4 seed...likely #3, but it's right there for them. They have enough talent.
?? What the hell?? Are you Fin D's big brother? Are you talking about me being pissed I lost my Under bet vs the Kings? I mean, you guys still won that game?? Meet me at 5Dimes for some HU NL, or you are not a man. How's that for aggressive aggressive?
It's okay, Fin-O. Maybe your Knicks will manage to crack 80 points against the Heat on Friday and it'll all be better.
I'm honestly worried about the team when it gets healthy. Shumpert should fit right in (and he'll likely be back after Kyrie), because of his game so I am not too worried there. But then there is Kyrie. He is a great offensive player, wizard with the ball, and all around spectacle to watch imo. However, despite his ability to handle to ball and pass, he's never been a great facilitator (arguably because he had to be high usage with limited offensive options around him, so maybe there is hope). I worry our great ball movement (25 assists/gm) will take a hit when Kyrie comes back and we'll look a lot less impressive on the floor all together (Kyrie's defense has historically not been good). I also think Tristan (who I admittedly love) has outplayed Mozgov this year, so I hope when he returns from injury he's actually back to last year's form.
Only saw bits and pieces of the knicks game last night, our first real clunker of the year. It's gonna happen occasionally I guess when you're a 500 ish team facing an elite defensive unit. You definitely didn't get the Porzingis we have seen. But one of the things with KP6 is he is a very quick learner apparently. I think he started to understand what the Heat were doing late in the game and how it was impacting his game. Curious if he comes back strong on Friday. Whole team just laid a clunker yesterday for sure.
I DVR'd it and watched it on delay. Technically I was watching while the game was still happening, but I wasn't synched up.
Highlight of the season? The Heat have the second best record in the East and the fourth best record in the NBA.
What they did with the Zinger, was interesting...they put Bosh on him to start, but let him shoot open 3's. Bosh pushed him middle and occupied the elbow, so he couldn't get touches. When Melo was not on the floor, Spo used Deng and a little Winslow on him to basically mirror and frustrate him full court.
