I'll type slow for you. The ball was rolling in the field of play, not in the air. Thank YOU for playing.
It wasn't a bad play if they were actually going to go for it. It set up a manageable 4th and 6. The decision to punt is unbelievable.
I disagree strongly. If you pick up half the distance, it makes going for it much easier. If I were in 4-down mode, I'm checking down on third and very long.
You're wrong. It helps to read the link. The kickoff landed shy of the Green Bay goal line and rolled nearly to a stop at about the 4. Rather than pick up the ball and return it, Cobb put one foot on the sideline and fielded it -- meaning that the kickoff, technically, had landed out of bounds.
Aikens had a chance at McFadden there, but he dives like an idiot to try and blow him up and completely misses... leading to the big gain. Pathetic.
The annual acceptance of Miami is just not that good, again. At least it doesn't come down to the last week to wake up to reality. Pretty much our M.O. for the last decade.
Walt Aikens and Jamar Taylor have been straight trash today. Bobby McCain and Michael Thomas should be getting their snaps. Dallas Thomas needs benched in the worst way as well. These three personnel decisions are what's going to cost Dan Campbell the head-coaching job; almost as if he's been Philbinized.
In the last 4 weeks we have given up a ridiculous amount of 3rd and For****ingevers to draws and screens. It's a ****ing joke.
Obviously, if he had any pocket presence, he would've moved out of the pocket to throw it away. The sack was due to the QB not having good pocket presence, even though more than enough time was given to him by the OL.
Let's not pretend though that the head coach hire will be conducted by someone with any sense. Ross is doing the hiring here. Who knows what will happen. It certainly shouldn't be Campbell though. I don't know in what universe he thinks punting increases the odds of victory over going for that manageable 4th and 6.
