Miami Dolphins could be dangerous down the stretch - Miami Dolphins Blog - ESPN (via http://ble.ac/teamstream-) http://teamstre.am/1PKdyd5
While I can see us actually get a winning 9-7 record, I don't think it will be good enough to get a wildcard. likely a 1-5 record in division at best with a few too many conference losses which means we likely won't be winning the critical tiebreakers.
If we get to 9-7 Dan Campbell has done a masterful job and should be retained as head coach. I think if we make an HONEST commitment to running the football, Tannehill raises his level of play down the stretch and the defense plays with the same hunger that we did against the Eagles we can make some noise. I BADLY want to get to the playoffs but playing meaningful games is enough for me at this point. I'll tell you what, beat the Cowboys and Jets to go on a three game winning streak and get above .500 and my belief is going to be through the roof. Im hoping we can get it done.
I think getting a 3 game win streak is possible. I'm curious on how this season going to finish. Hopefully we'll be in the playoffs by then.
If this team makes the playoffs, I will be shocked. They have shown me nothing so far that says they are a playoff team. They've beat up a couple bad teams and squeaked by a couple mediocre ones.
Yeah, but maybe doing that will allow our confidence to be where it needs to be to beat the better teams of the league. Dallas is going to be motivated with Romo back in the mix, they're going to be playing inspired at first. It's up to us to put out that fire as quickly as possible. This will be a big test for us on Sunday, Dallas is not your average 2-7 team.
Oh I totally agree about Dallas. I think that, unless we knock Romo out of the game (which might happen), we're going to lose this one.
My sincere hope is that this the is rigthing of the ship in a strange way. In the past, we lost to bad teams and showed up (but often lost) to good teams. Maybe, and I realize I'm reaching, but maybe we're fixing the compass by beating the teams we should beat and getting our butts kicked by the teams that should kick our butts. From there, it might be easier to properly diagnose where to go after the season. I dunno.
