Lol, this is only his third year as OC. In those years he's had absolute garbage talent and still has gotten good production out of them. I do agree with you about Jackson, though. I think he'd be a really good fit. And if we eliminated everyone that "failed" in their first HC job, you would be overlooking some pretty good coaches.
Yes. This. Please give me a coach with strong history here who seems like he would cut off his left and right testicle to get the job back.
While I would normally agree, he failed at Alabama, with unlimited resources. He's proven nothing to be worthy of consideration for this job. Miami can't afford to gamble on someone like that. The program is on life support. One more ****ty hire and it's probably time to pull the plug. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I don't think Cristobal and some of the other names have proven to be any more worthy. Again, he's not my top choice, but I don't think he's so much worse than most of the other names.
I also think Cristobal would be an awful hire. The last time anyone saw Cristobal in Miami he was struggling to win 3 games at FIU. Maybe I'm wrong but to me he's nothing more than a white Randy Shannon, a great recruiter and nothing more.
Easily the worst officiated drive of football I've ever seen at any level. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'm not a college fan but it seems like Duke got screwed there. That one Miami player's knee looked down.
Good. Serves them right for all the awful officiating in Dukes favor all night. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I didn't watch the game. I watch a little college every now and then but the final play was all over Twitter so I was just giving my two cents.
We got hosed all night on b.s. calls, nice way to end it with an awesome game of 'hot potato' like that.
The Duke QB also wasn't in the endzone and was down with 6 seconds. Game should have been over there. That was after two phantom PI calls.
That was the most incredible play to win the game .It could be an augury of positive things to come .I am surprised more teams dont practice that .I had no idea you can bounce a ball off the ground on a lateral and still keep it alive . BTW I hope the new Cane HC is not Mark Richt .You only have to see the Florida-Georgia game to be convinced of that.Justin Fuente intrigues me.
It's called The Return. I want full credit for this name. The Canes are already using it.

http://es.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nc...eaten-duke-on-last-second-play-175828927.html ACC acknowledges Miami should not have beaten Duke on last-second play Lol at the tweet response
The ACC suspended the UM-Duke officiating crew for two games as discipline for a series of errors on the final play and said Miami's game-winning score should not have been a touchdown because Mark Walton's knee was down and there was an illegal block in back penalty. Here's what the ACC said: "The errors that occurred during the last play of the game are: The replay official erred in not overturning the ruling on the field that the Miami player had released the ball prior to his knee being down. If called, this would have ended the game. The on-field officials erred by failing to penalize Miami for an illegal block in the back at the Miami 16-yard line. If called, the ball would have been placed at the Miami 8-yard line and the game would have been extended for an untimed down. There is more here http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...-marlins-canes-nuggets.html#storylink=addthis
It's amazing how so many people don't get the difference between possession and contact. His knee may or may not have been down, but he was not in possession of the ball, therefore it's not the end of the play. Waiting for the ACC to acknowledge the phantom PI and TD calls on Duke's final drive.
I downloaded that and shared on facebook because the canes page didnt put it up. They must be overwhelmed with the fan response and hopefully now realize how important their football program is. Heres hoping.
Duke fans can go F themselves and so can the rest of the country - The ACC can go F themselves, too. The part where the runner was down was completely inconclusive, i was watching with several FSU and USF fans who hate Miami and they agreed, the "block in the back" is from the side on all 3 hits, this is a case of the ACC thinking their best chance for a "bowl" team just got beaten by a team that will lower their "SOS". It's all about the money.....The only penalty on the play should have been on the helmetless player (idiot) who ran on the field before the play was over.
there was a clear clip at the canes 16 but because of the way refs are taught how to call block in the backs since he got blocked into the runner with the ball they are trained not to call it. So by the book its a clip but they called it right on the field based on their training. Its a pretty weird loop hole.
Wilbon is so mad He doesn't even have a dog in this fight, too. Pretty sure everyone would agree Wilbon is a colossal idiot who's opinion is not cared about. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
**** Duke and **** the ACC. Nothing makes me happier than to see the ACC have to suspend officials because they didn't give their beloved Duke the win which was obviously supposed to happen based on the previous possession. Couldn't possibly happen to a more smug, nerdy fanbase. Officials should of been suspended for that ghost PI on Artie's INT and giving Duke the TD when the QB never crossed the goal line. As for any dumbass calling for Miami to forfeit the win... Duke can have that win as soon as Ohio State forfeits their 2002 NC rings to their rightful owners. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
i just saw this for the first time... don't watch college football much (only the bowl game stuff). Congrats to all the Canes' fans out there... that was an epic end to a game. Are all flags reviewable in college? NFL should do something like that maybe.
