Wake, Vernon, Albert, Sims, all back healthy yesterday. Wake and Vernon almost single handedly destroyed the Titans offensive attack. One sack in four games turned into 5 sacks plus two holding calls in one game.

For once, Tannehill wasn't being pressured, knocked down, or playing from behind for the entire game. The so called worst OL in the league was pretty good yesterday. Sims showed how important he is to the offense.

If guys want to ignore all that and pretend that removing Philbin was the only cause of success, I'm fine with that. Beats arguing about why the Dolphins lost.

Yeah just ignore the fact they were all healthy week 1 and looked like crap against Washington. And how about the 3 prior years with Philbin when those players were healthy? Ignore all that too. When did the Dolphins beat someone 38-10 with Philbin? Never. This game and the San Diego game last year Philbin didn't coach and the team looked dominant. How many times did Lamar Miller carry the ball 19 times with Philbin? When had the offense ever had balance with Philbin like it did Sunday? Look at the defense. You can't tell me removing Coyle had a lot to do with that. Still supporting Philbin. Campbell has also been working some with the defense since taking over. lmao guess every forum has to have that one fan. Idk if this team can make the playoffs (largely due to the 1-3 hole Philbin had the team in) but they are much better off without Philbin.

Team still needs some players but removing Philbin and Coyle did a lot of good. As evidenced by last game.

I too defended Philbin. I thought he was a guy people would play for. I thought he would bring a winning culture from Green Bay. He never did.

No, they weren't all healthy. Wake's hamstring dates back to the preseason. Vernon and Sims went down in the first quarter vs Wash. Albert was playing for the first time since November and clearly not 100%.

In fact, Wake still isn't 100%. Shelby started the second half and Cam played mostly in passing situations.

Playing off an embarassing loss, with a bye, vs a bad team with a one legged QB, yeah I'm happy for the win but it's not champagne and fireworks time.

Campbell definitely deserves credit for what he's done. So far. Regardless it's the players who went out and won the game, or lost the game, or whatever.

Philbin this Philbin that. Do you watch the games or just stare at the sidelines for 3 hours?

Anytime you're discussing football at length you're gonna be right a bunch and wrong a bunch. It's inevitable. It's never been about defending anyone it is about looking at the whole picture instead of focusing on just one aspect of things.

I've been telling you that you're usually wrong for a few years now. Howe could anyone ever have defended Philbin? You don't really watch football, do you?

How big and adult of you! Good job! You're awesome!

By the way, the fact that you post basically once a year to talk **** about me, paints a picture where you basically belong to me. I mean if I was anymore in your little head, I'd have to get my address changed.

Same goes for the butt hurt in this thread. I can't even admit I'm wrong without you guys ejacu-hating all over the place. I guess I make you guys have feelings you aren't prepared to deal with.

Maybe people are busting your balls cause you're nasty to just about everyone on here. Just a thought, Chief. Hey remember that time we bet on what the dolphins record would be and you were wrong.........again? Didn't your sig have to say how much more I knew about football than you, or something like that? Good times.

Not sure who you're referring to but all of them played. None were very effective. Sunday was the first time I've seen any of them even close to looking like themselves.

That's not to say there weren't good coaching moves, there were. Was the team more energized and ready to play? Sure seemed like it. But win or lose I'm always gonna credit the players, that's just my philosophy.

Fin D is one of the best posters on the board IMO. He dishes it out and takes it, both like a man. We're all grownups here. If anyone's reaching for the Kleenex bc of what he said then that's on them.

I thought you said Albert hasnt played since November, that was my reply, nbd. I see where I butchered your reply and took it out of context.

I was saying that Albert played vs Washington for the first time since November. IIRC he took himself out twice that day, didn't look in game shape to me. Sunday was very different. I gotta go back and watch the tape but I hardly remember his man getting a sniff of the QB. The whole OL had a good day.

one step further, Dan was on sparanos staff, they all got fired, Philbin made the choice to keep the young leader..

thank you joe philbin...for that..if he turns out to be the next Bill cowher, then his three years here would of been worth the failures.

I understand the excitement for Campbell but I promised myself that good or bad I'd wait at least 4 games before I started drawing any conclusions.

I believe the team has enough talent, lets just see how the rest of the season shakes up. I just hope Ross waits until the offseason to do anything dramatic. Thats his m.o.

I totally gave Philbin the benefit. From all accounts before the season, he made strides to connect, he sounded more like a head coach, the preseason starters looked efficient and solid. The needle was pointing upward for me, and I gave Philbin the veritable nod. It seemed as though he finally had "his team".

Then something happened: the season started.

Miami squeaks one out in Washington. Okay, slow start. Loses game two. Disappointed, but it's a long season. Game three in first home game?? Fail forward fast? Game four comes along and Miami goes 2-2 into a bye, right? They ARE NOT who we thought they were!

There are some things that seemed questionable with the O-line, but I certainly won't pretend to know anything about trench play. I figured the guys who get paid to know, know. Maybe depth is an issue. Not the only team in the league with a questionable line. Good teams have that issue.

Ryan Tannehill. Things are beginning to show face a little. Some of the issues regarding footwork. Batted passes. Not making quick and heady decisions. I mean, could he not pick up the team on his shoulders and WIN against Jacksonville?? Dude, you just got paid to do exactly this!

Then comes the defense. OMG. Cam Wake must've really been hurting, because he didn't look like himself and many here questioned if his best was behind him. Any questions now? Then comes Suh. See him drop back against TN? Getting a couple of batted passes, and almost coming away with an INT? This play wasn't there by the D before the bye. I even gave Coyle the benefit knowing the secondary was his thing. He did a good job in Cincinnati with it. Why can't he figure it out here? It never happened.

From my perspective, since Ross gave Philbin a chance after last year, who am I to question? I was all-in on Philbin after seeing the off-season and preseason work. Everything was pointing up for me. My question is, "What in the hell happened?"

Philbin got fired is what happened. And as much as I put faith into his processes going into this year, the axe was very necessary.

I'm not going to make judgement on Campbell until the season's end. He certainly looked out of his element at times on the sidelines, but I understand he will have to take his lumps. Rizzi looked more like the HC at times. Cumulative effort, which is fine for now.

I don't think the season is lost. I had this feeling that the FO did/does after tanking Philbin and promoting Campbell. Confusion still encapsulates my brain. Feels like I am missing something with this team.

The win is nice. While I'm not sure what to think about this team, wins can certainly change my mind. Disliked the penalties. Accept the sideline confusion, but that will not work against tighter teams. What happens when Campbell has to make a decision against the guys he promoted? Does he do it with grace, or does he piss off people to the point they dislike working for him? How does the team respond to locker room disputes, and how does Campbell handle it?

While the team responded with vigor against TN, how will they respond to a loss? How does Campbell handle it? Is he going to consider all options when making "coaching decisions", or stick to his guns? Does he have foresight? There are many more questions, and some will be answered by the end of the year. Until then, I have nothing better to do than to watch this unfold. It will be interesting.

    It never fails.

The people with the biggest hurt in their butts are ALWAYS the one's that literally fabricate my (and other's) stances. Its virtually to a man this happens. You know my type? lol, the next thing you know about me will be the first thing.

    Yes, put me on ignore.
