Eh, my objective take is, no one knows where this roster is at right now.

They have played soo poorly in every phase of the game, not sure if they simply lack talent, are in a mismatched scheme to their skillsets, or simply would not play hard for Phiblin.

There are so many under performing and non performing units on the roster, ol/back 7 on defense/DL.

Some of that can be cleared up via some simplification of schemes, some of that really comes down to guys not playing well.

That's where I'm at. I don't even care any more. I fully expect us to win just enough games to give us a crappy draft slot. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ultimately, Philbin may have been bad in the personality department, but he was also deficient in preparing the team and making sure his coordinators did their jobs. Is Campbell a tactician, capable of putting together a functional game plan, and capable of handling the various stressors present on game day? These, IMO, are what will be his biggest tests. Belichick isn't a high energy guy, he's a strong presence and that gains respect. What also gets respect and effective play from players is the belief that they've been put in the position to succeed. A coach who puts you in the wrong play emphatically is still a bad coach.

    One of my favorite quotes:

"The man who thinks he can, and the man who thinks he can't...are both right." paraphrased a bit by old age, mine not Henry's.

We have talent all over the place on the field. Shame on them for not mannin up, but ultimately this team has shown players that trying to lead will result in termination. Long Dansby Bush et all...

Everybody quit doing anything beyond the minimum to get off the field without getting hurt and hope something changed next year.

Players need a reason to lift all them weights above and beyond a paycheck and if they don't believe, as hokey as it sounds, they won't achieve.

Does this make me believe our LBs will tackle better? Nope. Will the Guards block better? Just because I believe? Nope. But if they believe...If they want to again...If they feel like they will be put in a position to succeed.

Well, anything is possible, anything at all.

I hope I'm wrong but since we maintained Lazor, I don't see much change in our offensive scheme. I hope, I hope, I PRAY I'm wrong. I want to see Tannehill set up for success by pounding the rock hard. I want defenses to have to put 7 in the box to contain the run, giving Tannehill the opportunity to burn them.

I do have a feeling though, defensively, we're going to see a much more aggressive defense. I think we're going to see a lot more blitzing, I think we're going to see Suh unleashed and be the wrecking machine that he is, I think we'll see Wake finally awake.

Now with all of that being said, it's time for the PLAYERS to show Ross made the right call in firing Philbin and Coyle. If we still can't run, still can't pass...if we still can't stop the run, if we still can't stop the pass then we may have to admit we put a team of divas together with no chemistry, unable to contain their own sense of entitlement of being the star for the better of the team and look at going through this team with a Ginsu knife.

We'll see this Sunday. Believe it or not, I'm not really looking at whether or not we win or lose...I'm looking to see HOW we play. If we play the same crappy way we've been playing and win, I'll be pissed but if we play with a fire and intensity that's been missing all season and we happen to lose, ok...so be it; any given Sunday.

Best coaches in sports, constantly have their players COMPETE when there is no score. They constantly have a SCOREBOARD(Accountability) when there is no score. I keep hearing these two things with Dan, which is getting me really excited. Now can he coach Xs & Os. I am going to assume not. I believe Lazor can, he just has some bone headed moments. I am not sure about Anarumo can, we shall see.

But I think you'll be surprised by the difference in players when they are going through the motions during practice, rather then competing constantly. Will it make the guards block better? Like some have asked, absolutely! It should raise everyone's play. Now we are 5 weeks into the season, so will it make a big enough impact to turn around the disgust that has been happening on the field. I am not sure about that, but Dan Campbell going forward is starting to intrigue me.

I just want the game to be entertaining. If we play well and they play a little better, that's fine. But looking as lethargic and incompetent as we have looked so far is unacceptable.

    Namaste!

This is what I've been watching for way to long. With very few exceptions.
