http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/56778 Fuzzy but looks pretty f'in sweet. I just hope Rebellion can do a good job as a replacement.
Unfortunately it doesn't look good for a release anytime soon though acording to IGN?.. http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/946/946015p1.html
I have a hard time believing that a game that is that far in development won't be picked up by someone. More importantly, I HOPE that someone will pick up the TimeSplitters series. Those were some of my favorite games. Really good arcadey shooters, that didn't take themselves too seriously...and the multiplayer aspect of them was always awesome.
I just read SW: Battlefront is in open Beta for anyone interested in trying it out. Not sure for how long, but I do intend to give it a go.
I played it. It's pretty fun, but simplistic kind of, from gameplay all the way to the interface. Graphics are amazing, sound design is better. It really does give that feel of nostalgia though, and puts in the movies. Not sure how much fun it will be after a while though, and also not sure if it's worth full price TBH. We'll see. Might be an impulse buy for me.
I actually not a fan of the sound. It sounds great but the background noise of blaster fire that isn't actually there confuses the **** outta me. Makes me think enemies are nearby but aren't.
I guess it's suppose to simulate a massive battle happening around you but all that ambient sound messes with you when your not engaging.
Today's the day. Anyone else excited? I hope it's decent, I passed over a lot of other games I would normally be playing to get into this one.
Passing. Not really excited for Star Wars anymore, and the prospect of playing a DICE Stockholm game at launch fills me with dread after Battlefield 4.
That and its $80 plus another $40 for season's pass. Ridiculous. The beta was fun but got stale. Watching the XB1 early access footage you can tell they put a lot into the assets of the game. The graphic design, sound, authenticity to Star Wars, immersion, level design, are all top notch. It's the actual game that hasn't latched me. Maybe a sale when the game plus seasons pass is $40 all in or something. Maybe.
Lack of single player, or lousy single player? Amazon screwed me again on release day shipping so haven't played yet.
Lack of. There isn't very much from what I read. And amazon screwed you or the courier/carrier did? Either way, there should be some type of compensation available if you contact them.
Yeah I got a $10 credit. Which was fine, not sure I would have had time to start anyway. I'll report back soon. I knew when I decided on this game that there was a very good chance it wasn't going to be the best of the new releases, but I'm a huge Star Wars Nerd so had to give it a shot. If it just lets me fly around a bit in Star Wars ships and shoot some ****, that's worth the price of admission for me. My expectations are low, and the game play will get a long leash from me since it's Star Wars. And if it really stinks I'm hearing Black Ops III mulitplayer is great and I'll definitely play Fallout 4 at some point.
The spawn problems this video points out are very real. Can't count how many times I've spawned and get raped by a thermal detonator withing 2 seconds. I've got a full day into the game now. It's fun. Plenty fun. Extremely frustrating, but a good time all around. I stink at it. My kill death ratio is abysmal, but it has enough fun stuff to keep me coming back for more.
