The PROBLEM is that about 3 pages back I said any comment made about a PS trophy is simply playful banter, playing sports my whole life guys talk trash.

We know this how? Telling the practice squad to do their job during a walkthrough does not equate to, "Hey, take it easy on our fragile qb."

This really isn't as big of a problem as other things Ryan has in his professional life at the moment, he can call a practice squad player every name in the book as long as he starts playing good football.

Solid trash talk? Again, remind me where Tannehill's trophies are at? Ooooops. He's the last guy on the planet who should be commenting on trophies.

Trash talking scout team players should be something beneath our so-called FRANCHISE QB ..... but this was more than just trash talk, as the team has been in crisis mode. They rattled him, which is scary. That's not something that goes down when there's respect there, particularly for Tanny.

 

Actually it's a sign that you don't value efficiency but whatever makes you feel better. Do you feel the same about every piece of garbage you struggle to put in the trash can or is that an internet only principle?

Again, if the story came out that a couple of defensive players were disrupting a walk through before a division game and Tanny did nothing, you'd be blasting him for not being a leader. You know it. Everyone knows it.

 

Efficiency? I'll bet any amount of money it takes me the same amount of time to scroll down the page as you trust me.

 

It's not that he did nothing. It's the fact that he might have gotten rattled. He admitted he got rattled. Different than getting mad and putting PS players in their place. Defense guys were coming over to pat him on his butt, consoling him. Think Dan Marino ever needed consoling? Hell no. If anything went wrong he just blamed it on someone else, yelled at them, and was on to the next play!

If my QB is getting rattled in a walkthrough, even if the PS is mucking up, well, what happens when the game starts? A 53 qb rating happens that's what!

 

Well, not this year yet. 25% of the season is in. The book for this year isn't written yet, but it's definitely getting into the main part.

Oh trust me, the defensive players are knuckleheads too.

But it's not about "doing nothing". It's about not being a knucklehead. He needs to be setting a higher standard - something more akin to a "leader".

Im not even going to bother to view/listen... because the sports fan with common sense doesnt deal in excuses, instead we look at facts.

The fact of the matter here, we've just fired our useless head coach (who's been Tannehills coach since he came into the league), we have a terrible DC who also just got fired. We have the worst OL in the league. We just replaced those two coaches with guys with no experience whatsoever. Let's also not forget we just hired an offensive "consultant" to help our struggling OC. Lets also not forget, our QB coach, who's only qualifications were nailin' the former OC's daughter. We're the joke of the league right now with our decisions at every major coaching position. That's a pretty stacked deck against anyone at QB no matter what their name is. But lets just keep ignoring the key things in development of any player at any position.

Yet you have the same media types defending Andrew Luck under the same circumstances... It's pretty pathetic.

Not about his security though, he's safe. He's a starting QB. But the respect isn't there if the defense is fracking with him.
