The early part of the 2015 season has been surreal, and not in a good way. The mystery is, why exactly is the team so lethargic, spiritless and underperforming? We know that they are, but why exactly?

Could the key to revealing the story behind this whole mess be Ndamukong Suh's shoes? Who wears sneakers to a full practice? Why? Would he do that without the protection of his huge guaranteed salary? Was it a sign of not only dissatisfaction but solidarity with some or all of the other players? Was it in fact a subtle, esoteric sign of leadership? Was it a b**** slap in the face of Joe Philbin, Kevin Coyle or both? Is the team trying to send a message through a leader whose money is safe and is somewhat untouchable? Is this an absolute cry to Stephen Ross from the players, who are saying "GET US THE **** OUT OF THIS SITUATION AND AWAY FROM THIS INCOMPETENT COACHING STAFF"? Are the players disgusted with Philbin- what the h*ll does he actually do all week anyway? Set schedules and monitor punctuality? Why was Philbin play calling for the scout team late in the week, what the hell does that accomplish?

Everyone has their opinion, but I look at this sneaker situation as a desperate-although venomous and defiant- cry for help. What is the real story? Is Suh incensed at Coyle, Philbin or both? Is he disgusted by the lack of coaching leadership on this team? When something like this happens on a team so tragically and completely lost in the woods, in my book it's a blue ribbon clue to the real story behind the scenes. I want to know everything about the Sneaker Rebellion, every motivation behind it and every player involved.

"And so when Ndamukong Suh, the team’s highest-paid player, wore sneakers to a full-padded practice during the week, other players noticed. They took it as a sign Suh was making a statement of dissatisfaction over the defensive coaching.

And why are players drawing that conclusion? Because a prominent handful of them are dissatisfied over the defensive coaching, too.

I asked Suh what gear he wore to practice Thursday.

    “Next question,” he answered."

I'm ok with it as long as it's not Hanyesworth 2.0

My guess is that he isn't, but rather it's a reflection of things behind the scenes being even worse than we think they are.

Yep I'm inclined to believe that also. At least I hope so anyway.

Haynesworth signed that contract with the Redskins after having ONE great season with the Titans. He did not have the resume Suh had with the multiple seasons all pros and all defensive teams.

Also haynesworth was a fatass near 400 lbs at one point that did not care about his physical condition. Suh is in terrific shape.

There is no comparison other than they signed big contracts.

Yeah Jim you're definitely on to something here.

I saw a few players with their jerseys not tucked in properly, several guys are sporting unorthadox haircuts and not wearing their socks the proper length.

Players haven't respected Philbin in years, he was given way more time than he should've.

I think a lot of the other players have talked to suh, and suh is using his untouchable position right now to make the stand for the defense cuz he knows he's safe.

good for him, this is his way to lead that defense. It's already known from previous years players hate Coyle...and possibly philbin
