    Lazor can go too.

    Play calling is amateurish.

    Terrible.

on offense, i feel its more a personnel issue, hard to do anything on offense with the oline we have and lazor calls the game that way. he can go to for all i care, they all suck

There is a contingent that believe that the QB makes the oline better. Good oline play is an indication that you have an elite QB making them look better than they are.

Yes, it is backwards. Such is the logic of those who have disliked Tannehill since he was drafted.

Those to be ignored will be obvious. The ones who keep throwing out the same tired arguments, no matter how often you show them why they're wrong.

If the QB really made the Oline better Matt Moore would play guard.

    Here's a news flash guys--nobody looked good.

If you're defending any of the coaches or the players on offense you need to re-evaluate you're stance.

None of them looked good and none should go without blame. Every single guy missed plays from the QB to the line to the RBs to the WRs.

(As usual, this memo does not pertain to Jarvis Landry)

No one ever looks good? Ever?

You're stat is wrong... we rushed 11 times; 8 times from the backs, Miller and Gray, but I get your point.

If you're looking at something like 44 passes to 11 rushes on face value, then yes, you're correct. But what Philbin and Lazor are doing is using the short passing game to make up for a lack of true rush attempts from behind the LOS. They know they can't get consistent run blocking and have no confidence in their OL.

They also aren't trying to push the ball down the field consistently because they know that the OL is terrible at Guard and below average at both Tackle spots. Still, Tannehill's accuracy hasn't been good these first 4 games and he hasn't been scrambling or running more when he has chances. Maybe the ankle or back injuries that were reported the past couple weeks are affecting him, but he's been off and he isn't running the option this season either.

Hoping for MUCH improvement across the board after the BYE.

I'm not a Tannehill homer. I just want accurate criticism, and fair assigning of blame.

No, you want YOUR version of why he has struggled to be agreed with...save a few extremists, Ryan receives pretty "fair" criticism for the most part. Everyone recognizes his OL sucks, but many also recognize that he is still suffering from the same issues he has had his whole career. It's unfortunate...I wish he WAS a victim....but he is playing poorly like everyone else.

You're asking people who are passionate and emotionally invested in a team to remain calm and objectively critique a player who struggles at times and remains inconsistent even when he does have adequate blocking. That's rarely going to happen following a terrible loss. Arguing with them isn't going to do anything to change perceptions.

Just realize that they're giving opinions, informed or otherwise, and move on.

You tend to get trolled yourself at times and fall for it often. lol...

Conversely, I felt better about Tannehill after watching CKap and Bridgewater today.

Well, I guess on some level, I just hate to see one side of the narrative getting all the traction.

Fin, I've never claimed that my perspective is the only perspective, apologies if it comes across that way. What gets me going is that my perspective is often simply dismissed, and you act like I'm crazy. I have said many times, Tannehill has stuff to work on. I just don't get on board with Tannehill being a problem.

For me, Tannehill shows enough to make me believe in him, like the TD throw to Stoneburner or that play where he moved left then fired a laser to Jennings (which should have been a 1st down but got a terrible spot). Then at times he makes some God awful throws that leave me scratching my head (or screaming at the TV) like the passes to a wide open Sims or Stills.

I can see both sides of the fence in the argument about him but for me until we get some sort of consistent OL blocking we will never really know what we have. Until then, I see no point in joining in the conversations about if he's the long term answer or not.

I'm beginning to fear we are about to David Carr him, he seems to be getting more and more flustered with pressure as each week goes by. I wouldn't blame him in the slightest if he's starting to hear footsteps.

This is becoming a worry for me as well. It's criminal the O lines they have put in front of him. And that is not meant to absolve Thill from his problems, I just hope he doesn't become damaged goods when all is said and done.

Good points. It's easy for people sitting in their living rooms to say he needs to use more touch or have more composure when they're not running for the life and/or getting pummeled into the ground every other play. I'll give Ryan some credit, he is one tough SOB taking the beating he's taken for 3.25 years. How much has that slowed down his development?

I remember watching Brady's poor play last year when we were getting to him and putting him on the ground.

On the other hand, I would like to see him use more of his athleticism, better awareness of where blitzes are coming from and to have better instincts. To your point, it's hard to evaluate him when our OL has been so bad for so long.

Works in Madden. Problem is that we're not using a QB with 99 Speed and 80+ Acceleration.

Why do they STILL refuse to let this guy call an audible? I do not understand that style of coaching. Give him some ability to get out of a bad play at the line of scrimage.
