5 Bold Predictions for Miami Dolphins' Week 1 Matchup | Bleacher Report (via http://ble.ac/teamstream-) http://teamstre.am/1XPmZvA Take a look at these and make your bold predictions. Have fun with these guys.
I think Parker wont be unveiled until there is a need .Call him a secret weapon if you will .I also think there has been some sandbagging going on with Stills and Cameron. We have options folks which is something we havent seen in decades. That Parker will catch two TDs in a game will be commonplace IMO.....but not in this week...not needed.
Most of those predictions didn't feel particularly bold to me. The Fins should win by 2 TD's. Miller should carry for 150 yards. Suh should log two sacks against a rookie lineman. Tannehill should complete 80% of his passes. And yes, Parker should get his first TD. The only thing I see the writer going out on a limb here on is Parker's 2nd TD....that's the only real bold part besides the Tannehill 80%. Because remember, we have the best defensive front in football. Washington has a suspect offensive line. They will have many, many 3 and outs, and our offense will dominate the time of possession. So Miller will get his carries. Tannehill will get his check down throws and free shots to the end zone. Parker will gets some 1st and goal tosses. And Suh....well, let's just say that Suh will get some big hits in as well. Not nearly as many as Wake though...Wake is going to have a monster game.
Parker is a rookie who hasn't played a snap in the NFL. He's no secret weapon until he proves he's a weapon, and the moment he proves that he's no longer a secret. I think the coaches will gradually ease him in precisely because (as you point out) he's not needed right now. But they have to get him game time to make him the weapon he'll hopefully be by the 2nd half of the season.
I hope so. The Dolphins need to have a number of games this season where they dominate. Sort of like the Chargers last year. A complete game from time to time and coast to a win, especially against teams we are supposed to beat but sometimes against good teams. Like to see a few of those games where my heart isn't in my throat for the entire game. It would be great to get that confidence that if the team is up by 14 that they won't blow it in the 3rd or 4th.
these predictions are ridiculous. Lets just start with one: Lamar Miller running for 150 yards. Really? The Redskins led the league in preseason in stuffing the run. This is a top 5 Defense against the run and Miami has offensive line problems, and Miller is suppose to run free? All I will say is that some of you are so focused on the negative off the field stuff with the Redskins like the name change issue or RG3's silly comments. I'm just warning you. That stuff has nothing to do with what's gonna happen to Miami on Sunday. Pot Roast, Jason Hatcher, and Stephen Paea have been impossible to run against. And Ryan Kerrigan didn't even play. Just sayin'. Miami has a solid Defensive line....but so do the Redskins. But you'll witness that on Sunday.
Opens account to whine about *BOLD* predictions* against his crappy team.... Priceless. if Parker is indeed ready and I feel confident about a play to run with him in the redzone, I'm going to take a shot. Get the promising young players feet wet. Get it out of the way, and then proceed cautiously as some have suggested.
did you know that defenses in the preseason know when its gonna be a run and when its gonna be a pass..theres no freakin scheming done, no coodinator is gonna put tendencies on tape..good running game is all about misdirection, scheming, unpredictability. nice screen name buddy, did you come up with that all by yourself?
These BR predictions are pretty bold, even by my generally optomistic standards. My own bold predictions: 1. Tannehill with 250+ yards passing, 70% completions, and 3 TDs 2. Landry catches 8 passes and a TD 3. The running game totals 120+ yards 4. The defense gets at least five sacks and three turnovers 5. While Washington may put up some garbage time yards and points, the game will be over by the start of the 4th quarter.
