According to the ESPN article Belichick had hired that shady Adams character in Cleveland as well. I guess they just weren't as good at cheating yet.

It's worse than Armstrong. Armstrong dominated in a field where EVERYONE cheated (used steroids). NE would not be able to dominate if everyone cheated.

It's in their DNA so they won't stop. I would hope that they get the refs up to speed on this and pressure the refs to steer calls against the Pats. Not sure if this is really a good solution. The NFL notifying other teams of all the tricks might get those teams more ready to defend against the cheats. Just like preparing for a run attack, teams need to prepare for a cheat attack.

I guess creating a whole new set of rules about stealing playbooks or tampering with headsets and couple them with well defined punishments is a way for the NFL to cover themselves for the next court case against that team. Once the rules are in place, the Pats won't have that out of 'not knowing there was a punishment for that'.

I don't think I can genuinely say I hate the Jets more than the Patriots anymore. The Patriots have surged into the lead this last decade and a half. They are pure scum.

One arrogant, smug organization right there. They can blatantly cheat now and know they'll get away with it.

I feel like the venn diagram of Dolphin fans who defend the Pats religiously and dolphins fan who constantly question Tannehill would only be one circle.

    ?!@#?

How did that statement suddenly come up?

For those who don't know what Venn diagrams are, Fin D is saying he feels like the set of all Dolphins fans that defend the Pats religiously EQUALS the set of all Dolphins fans who constantly question Tannehill. That is, every Dolphins fan in one of those sets is in the other.

Seriously, that's an insult to people in both sets and not accurate in the first place, given what I've seen around here.

Totally ridiculous statement and completely unprovoked in this thread!

LOL The defense is that "the patriots don't control the headsets; the NFL does".

That's gotta be like busting someone's windshield with a bat, and denying all culpability because it's not your car and you didn't park it there.

Hell, if there's not a rule explicitly stating that, "[n]o team or any of its representatives shall listen to the frequency of the other team's game communications", the Pats** would say, "there's no rule against it!" and think they're just gaining a competitive edge.

What a ****ing joke. Even after all the reports, these bastards still have the balls to **** with the Steelers headsets to have the Pats radio broadcast on, instead of the coach to coach feed. Unbelievable. Just ridiculous.

Actually...truth be told, every team that goes into Foxboro this year should claim something screwy. Let's just COMPLETELY screw up any chance of legitmacy for The Pats.

    Honestly.

Complain that the grass is too green on your side of the field.

    Anything.

Just keep the cheating mantra alive.

I didn't think anything of the headset thing because apparently the NFL handles them.

Then I saw how pissed Tomlin was post game. Said it happens everytime they're there.

So yeah, Pats gonna Pats. They are seriously like a movie villain. They're evil and everyone hates them. We can be the heroes to take them down. In fact, I look forward to it.

The NFL needs to hand over the keys to whoever runs college football. Believe me, 10-15 years does not matter, those people know how to punish and know how to lay the death penalty. I'm seriously at my tipping point with this league, I've had it. I'm usually neutral, but this is getting ridiculous.

Apparently, once the Steelers' headsets crapped out, the NFL forced* the Pats to turn theirs off.

    *allegedly.

I seriously cant believe that with everything that has gone on, theyre still up to their schemes. they have no shame. they literally are taking a **** on this once great league and laughing at us and the NFL is letting it happen.

Reading more about this, apparently it's the NFL that controls the headsets, not the Patriots, so it's possible the NFL is at fault here, not the Patriots.

On the other hand, Tomlin said after the game that they always have problems with headsets at Gillette.
