Absolutely horrible. Bay was involved in the deal as well with Pitt getting 4 prospects. Ryan tucker held up this deal on our end. I love Beinfest but he made a mistake here, way too cautious. Espescially if they lose Hermida at arbitration.

But if he is on the waiver wires how good can he really be ? We needed to make a trade for a good starting catcher.

according to what Gammons said on LeBatard's show is the pirates wanted different prospects then what the marlins were offering and Beinfest never changed what he offered them.

on a side note, our ace (IMO) nolasco, had 13 K's.
