Cam was in charge of the offense, and had them scoring points, with AND without starters.

Dom Capers, oln the other hand, couldn't stop even the Bills offense with starters and without. Our defense is worst in the league and you want to fire our offensive guy?? YEAH OK!

we've been scoring huh? Greg Camarillo had our first TD pass since the London game. Before that Gado had our only TDs since London

Field Goal or Touchdown, passing or rushing are points. No way around it, our defense cannot stop teams and that's not Cam's fault. That's Dom's fault. You win games in this league by preventing the other team from scoring while putting points up yourself. You can't win games by simply outscoring them, unless you're the Patriots.

I hope you guys are happy when Cam gets fired then we have a the same broken defense still not able to stop teams.

It doesn't matter if Cameron is an offensive guy, he has to be held accountable for all aspects of the team. You can't run a team like the Redskins do, with several guys acting as head coaches. If Capers isn't doing a good job, he needs to fix it, whether it means changing his job or seeing to his termination.

Cameron did do good things, like utilize Brown, but that might be more of how bad our last coordinators were and not how good he is.

When our offense scores 31 on the Browns, they score 41. When our defense holds a Steelers team to 3, we get shut out, even though we were in field goal range twice. They were tough field goals, but if Feely makes half of those we go into overtime.

Parcells won't be keeping Cameron. Its well known. Cameron is auditioning for an offensive coordinator spot on another team at this point.

You have to admit though, the Pittsburgh conditions were terrible. The field was literally falling apart, and raining. Conditions like that are always low scoring. If we do get rid of Cam though, we need to get rid of Dom too. He was ok when Saban was helping him with defense, but he simply cannot figure out a way to make our defense work at this point.

*EDIT and the only person who knows whether Cam will stay is Bill, and unless "league sources" are Bill himself, I wouldn't buy into that too much.

I think they are both gone. After a season like this where we got perpetually worse every week. Cam doens't know what he's doing out there. He's made so many bone head decisions he been around football long enough to know what do to do in key situations. He has proven he doesn't.

(Ginn) I think everytime you see this young man return the football you going to being very excited. I haven't been excited in weeks!

Keep Cam to keep the coaching staff consistent. That way we can be disappointed again next year...and the next...and so on. This team needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. No doubt about it. Hopefully the Tuna is the guy to make that happen. There is not a soul on the team or staff that should not be worried about his job next year.

    JMHO, of course.

Well first, everyone is witnessing Cameron's offense, and I will tell you this, he won't be getting a coordinator job if and/or when he's fired. He better start looking at QB's coach, running back's coach, tight end's coach, etc. Those are the only positions I see him being hired in the next offseason, other than Assistant High School Coach.

Pretty much getting a massive downgrade in his career because of his poor showing here in Miami, like Mularkey.

But I agree with everything you said.

I used to agree with that philosophy 100%, but this season has us so far in the toilet that I don't care anymore. The Tuna has a great track record for rebuilding teams and if he wants to fire Cam and get us started on a rebuild then go for it. He can fire my own mother and I'd bear him no ill will. We lost a single season under Cam, and sometimes it's better to cut your losses early.

i feel for cam, i do, the poor guy had a lemon handing off to a gado and passing to a camirillo, decimation is the word, imo he's not the man for the job.

If! Cam stays you can bet he WILL have an OC working for him. He signed on so late last year and it seemed by the time he hired staffers the good OC's were gone. I also think that IF he's here next year BP will have him dissect every decision he made during the year to evaluate his effectiveness and see if he can eliminate mistakes and improve for next year.:confused2:

I think you might see a tougher, more physical training camp, so maybe we don't have soooo many injuries.

Dom Capers should be far more afraid than Cam.

    1) His unit has fallen from #4 overall to dead last
    2) Jason Allen's turnaround is attributed to Cam Cameron's direct involvement, not the secondary coach's or the DC's. If it all took to turn him around was for a coach to sit down with the guy and clearly spell out to him what he needed to do why did it take a year and a half and the HC to do it?
    3) Defence is Bill Parcell's forte, and I think Bill will want to get someone to install a Bill Parcell's style defence built on physical intimidation, not a Saban or Capers scheme based around executing complex schemes.

It won't surprise me if Cam goes or stays as there are good arguments both ways. I will be shocked if Dom Capers is retained.

Why did it take Cam that long to have this magical sit down with JA that turned his career around? Wasn't it Cam who wanted JA moved to CB against Mel Phillip's recommendations? Wasn't it Cam who refused to play JA until the last possible moment and every free agent safety had already been through here? Wasn't that when Cam used his magical oratorical skills to get JA to see the light?

The simplest answer is probably the right one. JA got better because he finally got playing time. He didn't earn that time in practice, we were desparate. And he has played good, he hasn't turned into Sean Taylor (RIP)

    Schmolioot,

KB21 is the guy who said it took Cam Cameron's direct intervention to turn Jason Allen around. How about you dig up one of his threads and his him those questions directly?

You also don't stand a chance of winning if you cannot inspire your players to actually play the game. And the rash of injuries could easily be attributed to a poorly run training camp that failed to get our guys into shape. Excuses, excuses, I used to make them for the players and/or coaches and you know what? Yeah, Cam inherited a bad team, a team that lacks depth and has an aging defense. Yeah, there was no QB worth his salt on the roster. Those two things are not his fault, of course. How is it that he had the balls to think, that as a rookie HC, he could juggle that position as well as the OC position? IMO that was his downfall. If he goes we lose a coach with a 1-15 or 2-14 record, a Rich Kotite in Aqua and Orange. And losing our 'leater on Deffence'? What does that have to do with anything? ZT, if I remember correctly, hasn't been gone all year. In fact, he was there at the start of the season when the D was at its worst. Cam, I was glad you were hired and thought you could light a spark on the offense, now I'll be just as happy to see you drive off into the sunset.

Fair enough Pauly. I didn't mean my post as an attack on you. I just think the idea that Cam gave JA a good talking to and all of a sudden the light came on is ludicrous.

It wasn't the talk with JA that turned him around, it was when he spoke with the entire Allen family.

i agree, i also think the team should get as far away from miami in training camp as possible, its imperative that our new front office understands the difficulties that the miami culture presents to professionals trying to perform at their highest level, Make them thankful to come home to miami after a tough training.
