http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/colum...h_mark&id=3509089&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos1 1 person commented and said that if Ohio St won 1 out of the 2 the hate wouldn't be so bad. You think thats true? http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3509578 Top 10 teams hated. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/ncfnation?tag=Hate Hate by each conference.
That first article is clearly written by a guy who hates Notre Dame. Every time ND was mentioned it was a cheap shot, douche bag. And Ron Zook doesnt out work ****.
Truthfully my main hate is purely the Seminoles. Maybe because when I was at UF they were constantly beating us, but I also just think they coach their players to be dirty. OSU, I don't hate them. However, I do hate a BUNCH of their fans! Especially the ones that were on the 'other' mb right before the UF / OSU National Champ game. Some others here will vouch for me. They were obnoxious and really turned me off to their team. THANK GOODNESS UF won that one!
But its like I said in the Ohio St thread. Every program has their fair share of douchebag fans. Its magnified more because of the success of Ohio St. Now I think the reason there is so much hate is because of that and the fact Ohio St has a fairly easy time in the Big Ten. I think what it is is the Big Ten is in a slump and right now there is only Ohio St but you still got teams that up and coming, you have to believe Rrod is going to have better players now that he coaches for Michigan so I think in time Michigan will be a power house. Penn St will always be middle of the road aslong as they keep JoePa. Wisky is ofter over looked. Ron Zook knows how to recruit so the Illini will also be that team.
It isnt just OSU being in the Big Ten that makes people hate them, it's the cupcakes they schedule out of conference that adds to it. They schedule themselves a BCS bowl every year. (But I cant blame them too much for doing this. It's a problem with CFB as a whole.) I'm not sure why I started to hate OSU, my grandma is from Columbus and is a huge OSU fan so I always kind of liked them. That all changed recently. My guess is it's probably Troy Smith winning the Heisman, and the Fiesta Bowl. I also have an aversion to sweater vests.
While I do agree about that, it hurts them when they get there but it shows a flaw in the BCS system that needs to be changed. Also If I recall the reason why they have 4-5 "cupcake" teams is because a).Early on it helps inexperienced guys. b).Helps those small schools get a chance to play a tougher opponent. Now while I might understand the intention you have to realize stop helping the smaller schools play harder teams so you wont get beat in the NC game. Now I believe there only 3 bumps in the road for Ohio St this season, USC, Wisky, and Illinois. Btw Don I loved that Fiesta Bowl
From the top 10 list I love to hate Miami and Tennessee! However FSU and Georgia should be added to that list. It's really only natural for a Gator fan like myself. Georgia is really moving up on that list. As for non Gator rivals I hate USC the most. OSU fans are really pushing there luck also (I talking about fans not from the board).
The team I hate the most right now would be Florida. They go 9-4 got used by Michigan in the bowl game and lost the 4 toughest games on their schedule. ESPN has a man crush on Tebow like never seen before and he wins the Heisman because of that and the fact he either ran or threw the ball on over 75% of their plays. Florida's secondary is a mess so if you can throw and shutdown Tebow and Harvin any team has a shot at beating them. Even Ole Miss had a shot to win the game last year. Get over yourself.
By putting a pew in front of him? Spoiler (In case you don't get it, just look at his list of most important things)
IMO teams are most often hated for perceived, unwarranted arrogance. Florida was easy to hate when Spurrier was there. UM was incredibly cocky and along with Ohio State put that 'THE' in front of their name. OSU also plays that weak conference schedule so their rating always seems inflated. Notre Dame and Alabama fans acted like their teams were the best even though they hadn't been really relevant for a while and ND makes it worse with the whole 'god's team' thing. USC has the perception of being cheaters who are never punished. The next reason teams are hated is just that people get sick of hearing about them. Florida gets that now with Tebow. He's a great story and he gets a lot of exposure some people will hate him just b/c of that. This seems more like jealousy to me. IMO other than rivalries or just having your favorite team beaten by them those are the main reasons teams become the most hated.
How can anyone hate Tebow? The guy is a class act. I actually wish more players were like Tebow. To bad he plays for Florida
yeah i know bernard was a beast i tried to tell people on FH but no1 listened...james rodgers who was a freshman wide out last year(he is sick on reverses beat oregon in overtime on one). anyway got his little brother who was a 4 star runningback he is only 5-8 165..but they say he runs with power
Yeah, I loved Bernard. Interesting replacement. He runs with power at that size? Damn, that scouting report looks good. Whats his forty time?
Really? 4.5? Damn, that's not that fast but not slow. You would think a guy of his size would be faster.
I can see why the Sun Belt would hate us. I know Troy fans hate us after we beat them in the final regular season game in 2007.
You see, I like FSU fans, I just hate the team because of the rivalry. I don't mind The U's team, I just really hate the fans. It is the only team from Miami that I constantly root against. It is also the only team from Miami that has a bunch of NY transplants rooting for, and we all know about those NY fans...obnoxious! That's why I treat that team as I do with the Mets, Jets, and Knicks.
Not every Miami Hurricane fan is a NY transplant. I was born in Gainesville,FL, a bona fide hell hole for UM fans. There's plenty of obnoxious Gator fans there, trust me.
Besides a true New Yorker likes the Yankees and Giants like me. And having 1 title this decade and getting hosed for a 2nd I think qualifies as lately. That is more than 115 of the D-1 schools can claim.
