I got mine for $199. I've been doing it for years though, maybe my rate is grandfathered? Season Plus was $250 for me.

new subscribers to DirecTv get sunday ticket for free. Which reminds me, I was able to get it for free this year... since I'm a continuous subscriber for the last 8 years and called them to complain (as per the usual annual process). Although this year, I didn't get the full package (redzone, mobile device setup), just TV only.

However, this game pass **** on NFL.com for $100 for the preseason games (and the other stuff they are offering) is bull ****. I guess I'm recording the NFLN replay... which truly sucks because they show have the tracker going all the time on the bottom of the screen and it'll show us the score (for those of us that don't want to know).

Well that's $20 the NFL has been getting from me for the past few years that they won't be getting this year. Seems like a bad move, but I'm sure the bean counters crunched the numbers for them and there's enough suckers willing to pay to make it more profitable. This league is slowly but surely pricing me out.

Same, paying $19.99 last season for NFL Preseason Live separately was perfect, and then I used DirectTV offering with its "non-satellite location option" for all regular season games, that combo was perfect.

This year, not sure about justification of the $99.99 now for the LIVE preseason GamePass option, especially if you cant watch Regular Season games LIVE. Only offering an on-demand replay is silly.

So, this year I will still re-up for the $199.00 (https://nflst.directv.com/packages) non-satellite option via DirecTV deal to get full regular season games LIVE off my laptop. Its worth it, figure I can just watch the Dolphins PRE SEASON on replay via NFL Network I guess.

just a site reminder that you can't post direct links to live streams of any NFL game. I suspect we'll have to remind everyone again on Thursday. :wink2:

in germany they raised it bigtime this year as well...from 144.99 Euros to 179.99 and from 199.99 to 244.99 for the season plus, but still its like 11 Euros per sunday which is still awesome for a diehard football fan overseas

    FYI to anyone interested:

I just signed up for the $199 package via DirecTV (non-satellite option), expecting to only be able to stream off laptop or smarthpone/tablet, etc.

However, once transaction was completed I was upgraded for FREE to the MAX package which includes viewing via Gaming System, plus REDZONE channel, etc.

Granted, I am a returning customer so not sure if thats why, or just random luck, etc. But thats a $359/package for the $199 price. So stoked!

    Hope this works for others.

So I got that going for me, which is nice! (name the movie reference quote)

I'm thinking the NFL might lose some money on this. There's no way I'm spending $100 for preseason. I loved the $20 option. I wish Sunday Ticket would do preseason.

The only reason I am going to do it, is because I got the game pass last season. It was a lot of fun to rewatch Miami Dolphin victories. Or if a NFL game was really exciting, rewatching it without commercials is really fun. Since that service was about $50 last season, I am only paying about $30 this year for the features I do not want instead of $80.

Yeah, I could see where it benefits others.

I DVR all of our games anyways. I'll DVR the shortcuts if it was a good game I want to watch.

Because I'm a diehard I'll have to find an online stream. The quality of those is usually pretty bad though. I might do the free trial for 1 game. I'll be at the Panthers game and the 4th game is live on NFLN. I'll probably save it for the 3rd one.

I guess, but you can re-watch without commercials via the NFL Network too. They show every recap each week too for free.

That would be ideal. Or, if the NFL would simply offer a LIVE preseason and regular package in the $225 range would be fine. Paying $20 bucks last year for preseason, and then $200 for regular season set a fair market price.

Someone or both just offer that. NFL or DirecTV or both!

The NFL won't offer it, because of their deal (that they recently renewed) with DirecTV...it's a monopoly even the NFL can't go against, as for live airing of the games, be it over satellite or streamed.

I thought NFLN only showed a few of the better (closer) games per week during the regular season?

I think thats the main REPLAY game of the week (maybe 1hr long)???, but each week on NFL network I also watched the recap of the Dolphins. Usually every monday afternoon, they put all the sunday games on in a row, each recap I think is 30min, etc. I know this was the case last year for sure.

    50% at $100 -vs- 100% at $20 is something they'll gladly take.

Does the NFL ever lose money at anything?

My beef with that has always been the skipping around. NFLN removes plays/series at a time from because they're uneventful or to simply fit it into the time slotting. They'll take out big non-scoring plays.

I want the full game when I re-watch.

We have one televised game. I could do a free trial for one and have my wife do the other. Er... or maybe it is an IP adress thing. Hope for a pill on the 4th game? I'm bummed out. I wish they would just take my $20. I have gifted someone my online sunday ticket password on here before. I hope there is a friend out there who will return the favor.

I'm sure they will wind up getting 20% of the viewers, not sure they'll hit 50% though.

I do think Sunday Ticket should apply to the preseason, but it is how it is.

    50% seems high.

All I know is they're not getting my $20. Those that get game rewind were probably going to get it anyways, regardless of preseason.

UK if possible because it's likely the closest geogrpahically and has substantial infrastructure. But sometimes the pings are low. I avoid the Netherlands because they take a lot of the torrent traffic. For regular traffic I usually run it through Florida since I'm not in Florida or California. Torrents as I said are run through Netherlands.

Dumb question: Is there a way I can pay for games to purely stream on the internet? I don't have cable. I don't have directv. All I have is internet.

Yes, DirecTV now allows for non-satellite dish version/no DISH needed.- just internet connection.

Use that option, bug a buddy/family member/college student to use his/her address, etc (need CC to be associated with mailing address used). They have expanded the coverage area for College Students too (reduced rate too).

    check eligibility: http://www.directv.com/cms2/NFLWS/NFLST.TV.html

If I'm understanding this right it's $100 for the entire season, preseason and playoffs included. That's a good deal. You also get access to the archives of regular seasons past AND preseasons past (which had never been available before in the preseason package).

I looked around, I am going through Turkey. Cost me $130 for the season. $130 seemed to be the lowest i could find, but, to be fair, i didn't go through each and price them out............

You get recordings of the regular season, not live. Still probably well worth it for many, but that's a deal-breaker for me, particularly since I live in Texas and get scant few games live on TV.
