Yeah, I agree. I think "I" really means "WE" as in coaching staff too. I doubt they would have let him take that apon himself. Although, after learning more and more about our staff last year........who know? I'm hoping Roth slims a bit too (depending where they play him). He appeared to have put so much weight on the last couple years, that he looks like he's waddling like a pengin while trotting on and off the field.
If Roth is going to play some standup stuff, he'll need to lose a little, but he actually seems to be settling in at the LDE spot ahead of Starks...
I think this team will be in better condition all around this year compared to last. Soliai probably realizes he must be a contributer if he is going to stick around. His emergence as an effective NT is one less position we have to address in the next draft, unless of course somebody outstanding falls in our lap.
