Thanks, what site did you see them on for resale? Also, do you know if there are any available for the regular season? $800 is kinda steep for me....especially for a pre-season game.
http://www.ticketmaster.com/Miami-Dolphins-tickets/artist/805964#artist_table_focus Those same seats are available for the Colts game but are over $700 each. Section 139 - Seat 17, 18, 18 20.
Yes, but I like to go to the games.....but not $700 like....I would gladly pay that if we are in the Super Bowl.
Could have bought the seats right in front of those for $75 each, or about $695 for the whole season. No swivel chair and table, but . . . .
I went to Game 7 of the NBA Finals for $400. There is no reason why a ticket should cost any more than that...
There are still quite a few reasonably price seats throughout the stadium for most games. The secondary market seems crazy to me.
Video is crazy these days.
I CANNOT WAIT to go to my first home Dolphins game at this place! (Only been to two away games in Carolina)
Just moved here a few weeks ago, get to go to training camp for the first time this Thursday too! My excitement level is unmatched right now.
Have fun man....I wish I was going. I thought that I remember you talking about moving there. How are you enjoying our steam sauna weather so far? Lol
when watching that video just pause it when you can see the living room section and stare at it...and think about it.....biiiiig mistake.
I get the idea behind the seats, but where they chose to put them in is pretty awful in my opinion. Both end zones (first couple of rows anywhere really) and any section near the 50 yard line on the lower level should have been off limits. I could've understood the corners, kind of where the black table and chairs are from the picture we saw. I just don't see that the fans that will sit in these seats being the kind you'd expect or want to be in that prime real estate. It takes away from the game, the people sitting near those seats, etc.
The whole thing just doesn't make much sense, if you want a living room experience you'd stay at home or be in a box/suite. New idea, forward thinking.. but to me just dumb.
People won't pay those premium prices for endzone or corners. They want the premium seats. And once you are charging premium prices for premium seats (with or without recliners), the people who will buy them are not going to be your loudest or most rabid fans. That's not unique to South Florida, it is true everywhere. With the roof/canopy designed to capture and project sound downward, I suspect that most of the noise will be coming from the upper deck anyhow. And those mid-field lower seats are not seats that have any real player interaction -- the Lambeau Leap/Dog Pound type interactions are in the endzones where you do tend to get a lot of real passionate fans.
It doesn't make sense to me personally, but it obviously does to a lot of other people (or at least enough of them) because as I understand it, those 72 Club seats are sold out despite the insane prices.
There may be some disagreement over the two luxury field level sections, but damn does that stadium look beautiful. Looks brand new. Going to look great with the roof on.
the more fans you have closer to the field the better your home field advantage will be...the upper deck is no closer..it will be better but taking the couple thousand away from what should of been just means it won't be as good, just so you could satisfy the upper class in a football stadium, thats fundamentally flawed thinking when building a stadium... it will be much better, but it could of been better..and putting that section subtracts from the overall impact...its not a good luck...quite embarrassing actually.
ok appease the minority in favor of the masses..its business i get it..doesnt mean I have to like or accept it..my hope is that it will be evident that it was a mistake, get negative press, and they redo it in the future.
Are people in Florida like totally sadistic when it comes to the heat?? Those guys look like they are dressed to work in February....up here in Jersey!
Its a catch 22.....you dress light, and you're getting intense sun damage to your skin, if you dress like them, you sweat, but at least protected from UV rays. Sunscreen can only do so much. Not to mention debree.
I get the safety aspect. Otherwise, wear long sleeve exercise shirts, or something similar. I burn really easily and quickly, and that's what I do. So thankful for the invention of "performance" material.
Man, this is all just a tease to me in a way. The new renovations look great, but it's still really only halfway done. Can't wait to see what it looks like in 2016, and hopefully, attend my second Dolphins game in Miami. Went the first time in 2010 for the Sunday Night Game against the Jets, but haven't been back since. Now I have an "excuse" to get down there instead of catching road games every year (who's coming to Tennessee this year?).
Nah I get that but even so some of the clothing looked heavy, and those workers have my respect to be out there all day because I be looking for ANY job indoors, even one as a Walmart greeter.
The upper deck is not any closer but the roof will make the sound from there project back to the field instead of largely being lost to the sky. Part of building a stadium is recouping the costs. The fancy seats help them do that. It's business and I expect it to have a minimal impact, if any, on the overall stadium experience.
Well, you don't have to like it, but you probably do have to accept it because it is happening. And if they are selling all those seats, they are not going to redo it or change it back in the future. I suspect those fancy seats will be a huge deal for Super Bowls and will sell at absolutely insane prices. I don't fault business people for doing things that make business sense and money. I sure as hell won't be paying for that nonsense, but if others will then I can't blame ross for selling it.
Most people I know, myself included, ended up with better seats in the new stadium. Those sections affected a very small number of people and the effect was minimal. Those people would have had first pick in the seat selection process and still have great seats. I don't see moving from the 40 to the 30 to be a tremendous hardship or major tragedy.
