Wells report is in and finds that that New England Patriots employees likely deflated footballs and that quarterback Tom Brady was "at least generally aware" of the rules violations. I'm guessing that means Brady knew it was illegal even if he didn't know what the exact rule was. It will be interesting to see what the punishment is: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/F/FBN_PATRIOTS_DEFLATED_FOOTBALLS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2015-05-06-13-15-55
"Due to the findings of the Wells' Report, Roger Goodell announced today that the Patriots will lose one BS call that goes their way per quarter, dropping their total BS Call That Goes Their Way from 8 to 4, during the regular season. While it may seem like a slap on the wrist, its expected that Patriots will only reach the Wildcard without their normal allotment. Once in the postseason however, they'll receive their full allotment of BS Calls That Go Their Way.", however.
behold the greatness of the New York media.... http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2015/05/chris_mad_dog_russo_screams_about_tom_brady_sr_aft.html Mad Dog is pretty much saying what we all feel at this point. Like enough with the myths and fantasy about being framed and set-up....go on real talk shows if you believe that......
According to Andy Cole (VIDEO), Brady might avoid litigation and take the suspension to avoid distraction. You could say he'd prefer to deflate the situation prior to the season.
Did you watch the video? There didn't seem to be any declaration that Brady is definitely letting it drop. Just that based on past behaviour (never going into a contract year to avoid the distraction of speculation) Brady typically and actively avoids distractions.
Oh I agree, just saying Brady might not have total control of what his own outcome is.....if the guy who pays his salary tells him to avoid distractions, Brady will.... That being said who knows if that conversation took place or ever will...
i dont believe would stand down for kraft on this. if brady thinks he can win he will take it to court. this is tarnishing his legacy and his fans are demanding he fights it to the end. if goddell does not fold expect thid to go to court even if it plays out after the suspension has been served Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
I don't want Brady suspended. I want him on the field all sixteen games and I want the fins to win the division. No excuses no sad stories I just want the Fins to be the better team.
I'm getting too old for that crappy philosophy. I want Miami in the playoffs regardless of the circumstances.
If Brady goes to court then the NFL can subpoena all his relevant phone records, and those of the deflator. And they will be able to put the fall guys on the stand and hostile cross examine them. If I'm Goodell there's no way I fold. Unless Brady is completely squeaky clean he has more to lose.
