Lopez got exposed in the playoffs. He will be a fan favorite tho. He's a decent starter, when the cap goes up it won't be that bad of a contract for a starting center.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13190175/dwyane-wade-returns-miami-heat-one-year-deal Good to know the ownership transition isn't likely to be a train wreck and ownership is strong in Miami. Great quote here from Wade:
Interesting. We drafted Thornton but we traded him away. Wouldn't mind getting to see him in a Heat uni for once. I know he's a good weapon from 3. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Who's likely to project better moving forward; a shooter who has never won, or a shooter who has won big? Belinelli may want to climb back to the top and work harder, Thornton may not know how to handle big moments. Flip-side, Belinelli may be complacent with a ring under his belt (or on his finger I guess) and Thornton may be hungry and dedicated to winning.
I expect him to land in San Antonio. Like somebody else said tho, the fact that best available free agents wants to meet with you when you have no cap space and his position filled is the ultimate sign of you doing things right.
Its supposedly a 1 year deal based on bleacher report. Im ok with that. He can shoot pass and dribble. Basic triangle skills. He doesnt extend to 3 but he can extend to the foul line.
Have you ever been to Mideival Times? King's feasts take awhile. All those courses... - posted via Tapatalk -
Not that I necessarily expected to hear anything, since the Heat doesn't leak stupid statements like the Lakers, "It went well" But it is somewhat surprising that nothing about the meeting has been leaked. I just cannot believe that either party would waste their time if there wasn't interest or someway to actually make this happen. According to Bobby Marks on Twitter, he basically said that while it seems implausible he cannot count Heat out as Ellisburg basically wrote most of these cap rules during the last CBA. If they bothered with the meeting, they know how to get it done.

Joe Goodman: Riley/LMA meeting stretched longer than expected but Texas teams reportedly still out front. Something is up......
http://heathoops.com/2015/07/miami-heat-of-the-future-beginning-to-take-shape/#more-25613 New Albert Random post. I encourage you to read the whole thing, but here is the interesting part to me, on why the Heat might consider trading Bosh.
I find it crazy that with all the leverage Bosh hd last year and he really had all the leverage, he didnt ask for a no trade clause.. The guy loves Miami. Highly doubtful he gets traded.
I don't think Bosh will be traded, nor do I want him to be. But if you take emotion and the fact that Aldridge and Bosh are very similar players out of the equation, and look at it from a strictly financial viewpoint, with an eye towards maximizing your space next year for a run at Durant, it makes some sense.
By the way everywhere Ive been reading backs what I said yesterday - capspace is preferred, unless Winslow or Whiteside is included.
LA Times report: Lakers don't believe Aldridge "was wooed" by their presentation. So, two meeting and blew both of them. Right now, no reports of second meetings with anybody. Heat with the last word thus far (unless you count Lillard's desperate too little too late attempt to get him back to Portland)
Why would cap space in 15-16 be preferred? All the free agents worth paying (with the exception of LA) are gone. Deng, Chalmers, and Bird give you 3 contributors for 15-16 and lots of cap space for 16-17. Or you can move those expiring deals for assets at the trade deadline because teams will want the space next offseason. And McRoberts is on a good deal and is a pretty solid young player.
Windhorst: Rival execs think Riley's message to LMA last was wherever you go sign short and I'll be back next summer They shook.......
