You are conflating an adrenaline boost with never being gassed. Its an absurd premise. And again, our stadium and fanbase is not capable of it according to you.

it just so happens on the rare occasion the whole stadium were on the feet because they knew that the next play was the game winner, and they knew the defense played well on the previous three downs to get them all there.. its really about the apex of the situation and all the variables that were in our favor..you don't throw a monkey wrench in it period..their qb just got rocked.

Up until now I would say the environment (coaches) in the locker have created a soft atmosphere. They are football players they aren't soft whatsoever, what they are however are a bunch of competitors that are tired of watching this ad-hoc coaching staff piss games away. After a while you give up and the perception of "soft" comes in.

If their staff was halfway competent they wouldn't be perceived as such.

You know, I thought about it on and off all last night and this morning. And I have come to this conclusion....F*** Damien Woody. I really believe the softness will be gone this year. I think with Suh coming in as a vocal leader, that everyone is going to bump up their Physical & Mental toughness this year to where teams are not going to want to play us because we are so tough.

Love the "Last Dragon" reference, although I know that several players have stated that they have received a boost of adrenalin from the crowd. I don't think it's anything we can ever quantify or even something that effects every player, but I also don't believe we can pretend it doesn't exist for some players.

    Shonuff.

I'm sure some athletes might feel they do. I'm really sure no athlete would say otherwise to fans who make their millions possible

Admittedly, I'm not sure that Woody is wrong. I've bemoaned the lack of leadership on this team for years. I believe you need veteran on-field leaders for a team to have that toughness. But I also think that this year looks promising in that regard. Albert, Suh, Wake, Jennings and a maturing Tannehill and natural leader Landry are steps in the right direction. But I completely agree with your conclusion... F*** Damien Woody.

Maybe Damien's trying to motivate them, kinda like how that ex-Bronco motivated Denver last year with the inflammatory remarks on ETHPEN...right before our game against them.

    Maybe not, F him anyway.

I agree. But, on the other hand, they'd die.

How about we put the question the other way - Are the Dolphins strong mentally [ie stronger than average for the NFL]? if so, what evidence points to it?
